T. Harv Eker grew up the son of struggling European immigrants who had come to North America with only thirty dollars to their name. Money was scarce throughout his childhood and as a young man, Harv decided that someday, he would be a millionaire.

But adulthood found him, as his parents before him, struggling to make ends meet. After many years of frustration, Harv hit the jackpot. He opened one of the first retail fitness stores in North America and in only two and a half years, expanded the business to ten stores. He changed his blueprint, creating as he did a template for re-programming financial success set-points, and grew wealthy again. This time, it stuck. However, during his years of struggle, Harv had vowed that should he ever get rich, he would help others do the same. He kept that promise.
