Ron Joyce Quotes

The idea of using frozen products thoroughly disappointed me. It wouldn't be done in Tim Hortons restaurants if I still owned the company, even if, in the long run, it may have been the best way to operate the chain.

When you find the niche you love, that becomes your passion. For me it was Tim Hortons. It was my world.

I think people who excel in anything are often totally dedicated to it, but are only really good at one thing.

I look at the great athletes of all time, like Michael Jordan, who went from basketball to baseball and it didn't work. Or Wayne Gretzky, who probably wouldn't have been great at anything but hockey.

If you love the game, it doesn't matter if you play badly. It is still a wonderful way to spend a day. There are days when I get so damned mad at myself when playing, but then I can hardly wait to get back on the course.

I look at a player…who shoots three or four over par, and I think that must be nice. But it is also quite nice just to go out there and play.

In many ways I guess if I had to do it again, I wouldn’t have sold it. I would have stayed with it. But that is hindsight.

It took me awhile to get over it.

It was just another example of how weak the company’s management was.

It’s something I wanted to do. Part of it is giving back to where I grew up. But this is a wonderful place for people to come. And I’m having fun.

It was clear that he didn’t know the business all that well and couldn’t help me with any of the problems we were having. Tim had no expertise whatsoever, so the burden fell squarely on me.

It was my philosophy to treat the franchise owners as partners.

Facebook application Facebook application - Hi Kevin - thanks for the suggestion! The two that we were thinking of were Famous Entrepreneur Quotes and Which famous entrepreneur am I most like? I like your idea as well. We've got a rollout schedule of new features for the site that we are working on first before we can get to the Facebook app. We're also not sure how hard it is to integrate into Facebook. It looks like there is a php way to do it which is great because that is our core competency.

[/quote:36s714h1] So far my own foray into Facebook has been a complete bust, though I expected that from the start. But if I do an Application for my own particular field of interest, such as Your Favorite Sci Fi movie...that might get people going. So Evan when you figure out how to do this please let me know how complicated it is!!

Who to profile next? Who to profile next? - It's time to get your suggestions again for which famous entrepreneur to profile next on the website! We are looking for suggestions for success stories that are inspiring as well as those that are recognizable. Ideally the people are brand name entrepreneurs who people recognize (at least their companies are recognizable if not themselves individually). Some initial sugestions are: Joyce Hall (Hallmark) Vera Wang Nolan Bushnell (Atari & Chuck E. Cheese) Magic Johnson James Kimsey (AOL) Wayne Huizenga (Blockbuster) Mike Ilitch (Little Caesars) What do you think? Who would you like to see profiled?
