There are some who would argue that your bed sheets are the most important part of your room. While soothing to the sleeper, they can also refresh – or damper – the entire room. That is why they come as varied as the people who buy them. From classic white to prints and plaids, bed linens range not only in colour and pattern but also in price. The untrained eye might not realize it, but the material quality and thread count of your sheets goes a long way in determining how much you’ll be paying for them. And, if you look at the upper end of that scale that is where you’ll find Calvin Klein bedding.
Many know the American fashion designer for his sleek, minimalist shirts, his designer jeans, or his fragrances, but in recent years, he has expanded his realm of products to include everything from watches and jewelry to linens. All have gone on to experience much commercial success. However, no matter what the product, Klein remains as committed as the day he first began to maintain his vision of simple yet trendsetting designs that both feel good to the customer and look good to the outside observer.
Klein believes that nobody, save perhaps your grandmother, should have bold floral linens in their house. Living stylishly is not just about what you wear when you leave your house. Instead, he considers it an attitude. In following, everything from your bed sheets to your bathroom towels to your slippers should convey this feeling.
Calvin Klein bedding seeks to embody the same sleek and contemporary nature as does the company’s clothes. At once both sophisticated yet relaxing, these sheets are purported to have the ability to embrace their occupants with luxurious comfort as soon as they touch the skin. That could be because as with all its products, the company is committed to using the highest quality possible. These sheets are made out of 100 percent pure combed cotton and have a thread count of at least 220. In addition, they are all pre-shrunk to prevent future shrinkage and vat-dyed to prevent the fading of colour.
This line of CK products continues in the tradition of its others, maintaining a neutral range of colours. Rarely will you find any sheets in pastels, nor will you find any with loud flowers or bright patterns. Instead, the company’s designers opt for richer colours such as artichoke, meadow green and dusky reed. Prints are also available, but take the form of bamboo reeds or citrine leaves.
As with all bed sheets, these are made available in twin, double, queen and king sizes, including both California and standard king-size sheets. There is also a range of comforters that are available in matching designs as the sheets.
Calvin Klein bedding might not come as cheap as your standard no-name brand, with a king-size bed skirt costing in the neighbourhood of $170, while a down pillow will run you $125. Nevertheless, the company promises to provide you with a more luxurious and restful sleep. Can you put a price tag on that?
