Giant Steps: How Robbins Achieved Success

A successful entrepreneur, a strategic advisor to world leaders, an award-winning speaker and an internationally best-selling author, Tony Robbins has become one of the world’s most recognized authorities in the life coaching industry. Through his seminars and audiotapes, Robbins is helping millions of people around the world live a more fulfilled life. How did he create the life he wanted for himself?

He Believed He Could: “If you don't set a baseline standard for what you'll accept in life, you'll find it's easy to slip into behaviors and attitudes or a quality of life that's far below what you want,” says Robbins. “Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant.” Robbins refused to give in to self-doubt and opened himself up to the possibilities of greatness.

He Took Action: “It’s not knowing what to do, it's doing what you know,” says Robbins. For many years, Robbins would set goals for himself and never follow through, that is until he made the conscious decision to take action. He pushed the fear of failure to one side, made a willful decision to act, and committed himself to achieving his goals, right then and there.

He Stayed Committed: “Where focus goes, energy flows,” says Robbins. “There’s no abiding success without commitment.” Because of the passion with which Robbins approaches life, he has little difficulty in focusing on his goals and committing himself to achieving them. Once he sets his mind to achieving something, he stays on that course until it has been accomplished.

He Was Honest With Himself: “Remember, ask and you shall receive,” says Robbins. It was in asking himself tough questions early in his career about what he wanted to achieve, what was important to him, and what he was willing to do to get there that Robbins was able to become the success he is today. Once he knew where he wanted to go, it was just a matter of figuring out how to get there.

He Followed His Vision: Throughout Robbins’ career, critics who question his ‘miracle cures’ brand of therapy have plagued him. But, Robbins stayed true to his core values and pursued his vision even in the face of his detractors. “Surmounting difficulty is the crucible that forms character,” he says. Robbins embraced his vision and doggedly chased it down. It was this larger vision that kept Robbins on track even through the ups and downs of his career.

“The truth of the matter is that there's nothing you can't accomplish if: (1) You clearly decide what it is that you're absolutely committed to achieving, (2) You're willing to take massive action, (3) You notice what's working or not, and (4) You continue to change your approach until you achieve what you want, using whatever life gives you along the way,” says Robbins. “What simple action could you take today to produce a new momentum toward success in your life?”

In fact I just dusted "Awaken the Giant Within" and "Unlimited Power" from the shelf last week to go over them again
Re: Success Re: Success - I study success intently, and would like to share: Here's two excellent and nearly identical success-formulas from a couple of the world's masters. FIRST FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Clear, Definite Purpose 3. Committed Decision 4. Take Action In Faith (Bonus Secret Sauce: 5. Repeat Consistently) I made a video about this, but am not allowed to link it yet. Google "Ryze Success Steps" for it. Oh, and this is Napoleon Hill's (Master Of Success Laws)'s Formula. SECOND FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Understand It Is Already Done (Faith) 3. Relax & Allow It To Unfold (Go about your life calmly) This one is courtesy of Abraham-Hicks (inspiration for the movie The Secret). Hope that helps!
Re: Drop out Billionaire Re: Drop out Billionaire - I reveived Bill Bartmann's DVD "9 Steps To Achieve Any Goal" as part of my monthly pack from Success University a few months back. It is a great presentation. I've watched it several times but not for a while so I'll view it again in the coming week. He is one of the greats. Like the best success mentors, he speaks with authority because he has come through much tribulation. His program sounds like a great bargain at $100 a year.
Coming up with a business name Coming up with a business name - I've always been curious about how people select their business names and would love to hear how you came up with yours. When I first started my company I was selecting between Evan Carmichael & Associates or the Carmichael Organization. The reason was I had read two books by Anthony Robbins and Donald Trump and learned about how they came up with their companies names to make them look bigger than they were when they were first getting started. Robbins chose Anthony Robbins & Associates while Trump chose the Trump Organization. I settled on Evan Carmichael & Associates and later changed it to Evan Carmichael Communications Group when I incorporated on the advice of my lawyer. I agree that it is not the most innovative name out there but my business is about building a brand. I would love to hear how you came up with your company name!
Re: How to verify ?? Re: How to verify ?? - [quote="quinn":13dahaef]Thank you, I appreciate your comments and advice; every bit counts for me since I know nothing about franchising. The reason I am so eager to start a franchise is that a friend/coworker of mine(i have known for 6 years) wants to sell her Baskin Robbins. She told me she makes on average about 35K to 40K a year(subtracting all costs). She wants to sell the store for 130K. Please let me know what I should be researching at this point.[/quote:13dahaef] You shoud ask for Baskin Robbins UFOC which should tell you more about earning potential. I also highly recommend talking to existing and past BR franchisees.
