How do you think you can help other members in the forums? I really love to see people succeed at creating a life and business that really fits their personality and their life long goals. As a Women's Business and Entrepreneur Coach, one of my missions is inspiring women to really believe and understand that their business is completely up to them. They call the shots and can do what they want. This is true for everyone on the forums. I endeavor to inspire those who read my posts to think bigger and open up to the possibility that they can use their creativity and their soul in business. Your desires really can make you money. You don't have to “be” anyone else, just take YOUR ideas and run with them. Of course, I help others on the practical aspects of setting up a business, but my experience is that those who accomplish the most are the ones who think they can . What do you like most about the EvanCarmichael.com Forums? I think it's great to be able to encourage one another to really use our ideas and create great businesses. If we run into a snag or need more information, a bunch of real Entrepreneurs are all here for each other. As well, we keep each other informed about new developments or information which may help us grow our businesses. It's a win – win situation. What does your business do? I have a Coaching Business for Women in Business and Leadership positions who want to excel in business, empower those they lead and still find time for themselves. I do private phone coaching and some group work. I also write and produce an ezine that offers free success tips to Women. In addition to Coaching, my Entrepreneurial mind is always coming up with ideas for business. I am currently in the process of opening a combination Cappuccino Bar and Sports Consignment Shop. Why did you want to become an entrepreneur? I wanted to have a business that reflected my values and what I love to do. We spend so much time at work, I decided that I wanted to spend my time doing what I'm passionate about. I also have a really creative mind, so being an entrepreneur is a great way to use those ideas and help others in the process. Who is your favourite entrepreneur? I am surrounded by so many great Entrepreneurs and I attend many teleseminars done by those who have become millionaires by following their sense of passion and purpose. I don't have a favorite, but right now I love watching Alexandria Brown (The Ezine Queen) grow her business in leaps and bounds while she is still being vulnerable and true to herself. I really enjoy listening to David Neagle, another Entrepreneur Coach who practices the wild success he preaches, by encouraging other Entrepreneurs to “Just Believe”. What is your favourite business book? “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill really impacted me in a huge way. There are many “how to” books on the process of doing business, but “Think and Grow Rich” challenges us on how we think so that we do what it takes to create our business idea AND still give back to the world. As Entrepreneurs, it's up to us to “make it happen”. Reading this book was a catalyst in helping me believe in possibility. Of course, I like to apply “The Secret” to business too. What is your definition of success? Financial freedom is wonderful, but it's only a small part. To me, success is to succeed at being all of who I am, including stepping forward and creating the business ideas that I'm most passionate about. It is the sense of living fully alive that creates an overall feeling of wealth that doesn't depend on the bank account. If I can use all of my gifts and abilities to help others and have all of my needs met in the process, that is success. |
