Reach Your Potential – Brian Tracy
In this presentation, Brian covers the first five laws in his popular Universal Laws of Success and Achievement:
1 - Law of Cause and Effect
2 - Law of Control
3 - Law of Belief
4 - Law of Expectations
5 - Law of Attraction
“We are living at the very best time in human history,” says Brian. “There is more opportunity for prosperity for more people today and in the future and if anything, it’s only going to get better.”
I hear exactly what Brian is saying. I’ve been benefiting from Brian’s material since the 1980s. Since that time, there have been a number of economic peaks and valleys and guess what? The successful people are those who refuse to accept economic limitations and instead look for and embrace the opportunities that are always present in any economy.
On the theme of personal potential, Brian says, “According to the research, you have more potential than you could use in 100 lifetimes.”
I agree with Brian, but if what he says is true, why do so many of us fail to take advantage of our potential?
Brian says it is because we have not been given a “training manual” for our brain. He explains that our brains operate on a set of principles, researched and confirmed over centuries of study, that have come to be known as Universal Laws.
He notes that whether or not we know about the Universal Laws, whether or not we believe in or accept them, they do exist, they do influence our life, they are irrefutable, and with knowledge and practice, they can be successfully applied to enhance and enrich every area of our life.
The Law of Cause and Effect
The first law, the Law of Cause and Effect, is the foundational law that governs absolutely everything in life.
Brian explains that thoughts are causes and conditions are effects.
“You create the conditions of your life by the way you think,” he advises. “You become what you think about most of the time.”
The question is, what do YOU think about and HOW do you think about it most of the time?
“Fortunately,” says Brian, “there is only one thing in the world that you can control and that is the way you think. If you take that control, you can control everything else.”
Before moving on to the second Universal Law, Brian pointed out that if you learn to do what other successful people do, you will get the same results; if you think and act as they do, you will achieve the same level of success.
Personally, I have applied Brian’s recommendations to my offline writing business and have enjoyed a level of achievement that I would not have thought possible. More recently, I have been focusing on building a home based Internet Marketing business, and again, Brian’s insight and wisdom has been guiding me, step-by-step, towards success.
What are the conditions presently in your life? Do you "think" there is room for improvement? If so, consider these words from Brian Tracy:
“The greatest success principle in history is ‘Learn from the experts’.”
