My sister asked this in her Facebook profile recently and it got me thinking. I'm still trying to figure out if I would do anything differently.
What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Start a search engine that would beat out Google!
I don't really know, I will have to do some thinking on this. But that was the very first thing that popped into my head.

Hey, Evan: That's a tough question! You would think it would be an easy question! Like Trent, I will have to think about it. Perhaps an easier question would be, "What would you do if money was not a factor?" GT

Hi Evan, That's an interesting question. A quick answer will be to do everything. If you cannot fail, each idea you have will be a success story. But it's like a touch of gold it can bite you in the ... if you are not careful.

Would it not take a lot of the excitement out of whatever you did? If you knew in advance that nothing you did would ever fail, how much pleasure and anticipation would there be?

I would write a screenplay, and possibly be involved in making the movie. Creative writing is something that I love to do, but it is a bit of a leap from being an unpublished to a published author. If I knew I could not fail, I would write as often as I could.

Evan, your good at making websites and getting people to talk to each other online. So how about making a website where businessmen and voters could forum with politicians, and up coming politicians. Where us entrepreneurs could ask where our tax money is going and give advice on how to spend it properly. With our innovative minds we could save the country millions and create thousands of jobs.

I am sure that you have heard the saying "Practice makes Perfect" keep writing and the more you do it the better you will become and the more chance of getting published. Just go for it, you never know if you don't try. MichelleJ

That is such an awesome question. When I stopped to think about it the thing that came to mind was something that is probably a little different from what you might expect in this forum post but here it is...
I would home school my son.
If I knew that I could do it without failing to also give him the social and life lessons that come from attending a traditional school. If I knew that I could do it without failing to teach him every subject to its highest standards and in a way that would foster a lifelong excitement to learn instead of boredom and burnout. If I knew that I could do it so that I could teach him to be an entrepreneur and a rich man in control of his finances instead of an employee at the mercy of the job market.
That is what I would do if I knew I could not fail! He is only 18 months old so I have some time....!!!
Thank you so much Evan, for the great question. I am a firm believer that if you ask yourself questions in a positive light, your mind will find the answers.

Oh that I could be such a sweet metaphysician! "O what a world of profit and delight, Of power, of honour, and omnipotence, Is promised to the Studious Artisan? All things that move between the quiet Poles Shall be at my command: Emperors and Kings, Are but obey'd in their several Provinces: But his dominion that exceeds in this, Stretcheth as far as doth the mind of man: A sound Magician is a Demi-god..."Christopher Marlowe's Dr. Faustus, I. i

Hi, Karen: That is a great answer and a great aspiration. You have a couple of years to prepare for it ... I say, plan now, study, prepare for the task and when the day comes, you will be both competent and confident and your son will get an awesome headstart on achievement! GT

Hi, David: You are probably closer to that achievement than you realize. I can't remember the quote, but it has been stated that to some people, advanced technology is akin to the metaphysical. And we know that your skills with Internet technology, especially relative to online marketing, are improving steadily. To some people, you are an Internet Wizard! GT

How am I glutted with conceit of this? Shall I make spirits fetch me what I please? Turn every guest into a customer? Resolve me of all ambiguities And persuade my affiliates to act? Perform what desperate enterprise I will? I'll have them fly to India for gold; Ransack the Ocean for Orient Pearle...

Hi Karen, As GT said, this is a great reply to Evan's question. I see you have read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. That is a great place to start on this project. I think GT is right. You have time to prepare yourself for teaching your son at home when he is of age. Start to immerse yourself in the subject NOW by researching on the Internet and in your local community. Seek out other parents who teach their children at home. Also, keep reading books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad to train yourself in the kind of thinking that you wish to pass on to your son. One thing I definitely recommend is that you buy the game CASHFLOW, designed by Robert Kiyosaki. When he is old enough, playing this game with your son will be a great way to educate him. See http://www.richdad.com/Best wishes, David H

I'd probably do something stupid, like try to fly I prefer to recognize that failure may happen, but do your best to avoid it, and when it does happen to learn from it and recognize it as progress. You only fail once you stop trying.
