This is a great advantage for most home business owners, but one thing to consider is that if you choose a home based business that requires a lot of house calls or on-site work, you’ll want to not only record your mileage for a tax deduction but also consider what kind of impact it will have on your car insurance bill and the toll that constant driving around town can have on your vehicle. Many times these cons are still nothing compared to the average daily commute, but they are often overlooked by many home based business owners.

All in all, for the average person, a home based business will have quite a lot more advantages than disadvantages, but before you jump into something, it’s important to look at all of the angles.
