Freshen Up Your Approach to Trade Shows

Here's a 5 step approach to getting an awesome result at a trade show event, even if it's your umpteenth time attending the show.

• TIP 1: Freshen up your approach to prospects. Smile at your prospect's face first and then look at his or her name tag.

• TIP 2: Invite your prospect 'into your booth area' to say 'hello'...let your actions be part of the invitation. (Arm waving is acceptable)

• TIP 3: Ask your prospect for permission to share a 'great' real life story.

• TIP 4: Let your story highlight at least 2 reasons why your business or product is recession-proof or recession-ready.

• TIP 5: High Five your prospect for attending the show. He or she has taken a positive, forward-moving action. Then, offer yourself as a ‘guide’ as they seek to get their needs met

Re: You can now trade stock with your twitter account Re: You can now trade stock with your twitter account - A nice idea for active traders who don't mind having their trades in the public domain. The biggest drawback seems to be that you still have to go into e-Trade to complete the transaction. That removes what I thought would be the biggest advantage of stock-trading via Twitter - the ability to trade quickly and instantaneously while on the go... On the other hand, having to confirm trades on e-Trade does mean that you can pull out of a deal if you have second thoughts!

Re: Businesswomen role models on TV: The Cashmere Mafia (?) Re: Businesswomen role models on TV: The Cashmere Mafia (?) - Hi Barbara, Then can I ask if you know of any tv shows that currently depict men or women in an accurate and relatable manner? Shows that poke fun at stereotypes and cast the best looking people possible (including, if not "especially" all reality shows) usually get the highest ratings. Let's face it, tv is a form of escapism and I'm not sure people actually want to see a "true" mirror image.

Shows it can be done if we have the desire or the right motivation.[/quote:38jshtrn] Or if we don't have a choice. Then it could become stressful! [/quote:38jshtrn] That's why I bought a laptop, it makes my life so easy. I can't remember my life without it, throw it to your bag and go.
