Internet franchises - the way of the future

Internet usage has sky-rocketed in recent years and businesses of all types and sizes are now realising they need a website to reach their target market. As a result, smart website development companies have entered the franchise market as a way to build their business and get their services out to a wider audience. There are now a significant number of Internet franchise opportunities available, particularly in Australia, for people that are passionate about the Internet and want to capitalise on the booming market.

The Australian web franchises typically sell websites and search engine optimisation services to businesses via their franchisees. In most cases the franchisee will build basic websites based on templates with some support from the franchisor and act as a salesperson. Some web franchises, like Bloomtools, provide an actual business to franchisees, and have a franchisor team that build all the websites so franchisees can focus on attracting and servicing customers. So there are several ways that you can join the Internet revolution with a web franchise, and what you choose will depend on the type of business you want and your skill level.

So what type of people can achieve success in an online franchise? The ideal person is someone that:

- Is interested in the Internet and its future growth
- Understands how the Internet can be used in business
- Likes to keep up to date with the industry and technology
- Has some knowledge of website development (ie. basic HTML)
- Has solid basic business skills

If you meet this criteria, then an Internet franchise might be a great way for you to own your own business. But there are a lot of web franchises out there, so you need to choose one that has a reliable brand and strong business model. Here are some things you should make sure the franchisor has:

- Quality products that are developed in-house and meet international standards
- A strong, reliable brand
- Experience with the business model
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Internet industry
- Understanding of business and resources to help you grow your franchise
- Training, marketing and technical support
- Passion for what they do!

If the franchisor has all these things and can offer you a really solid business with a great support team, then it may be the investment for you. If you do venture down the path of an Internet franchise, you will need to work hard and stay on top of developments in the industry because it is competitive and ever-changing. But if you put in the required effort, you can build a very profitable business in a booming market and achieve long-term success.

10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - I'm a 26 year old cable installer who makes a whopping $16 a hour and I'm very disappointed with how my life has turned out so far. I have a great girlfriend and a great set of parents but I've always felt like I was destined to have a lot of money. I'm sure 99% of the people here feel like this so I'm sure they can all relate but I don’t think I would be happy even making $50k a year. The highest I will ever go in my current job will be $60k a year and that’s going to take 10+ years to accomplish. I want a nice house for my future wife and I want to have it where we could eventually travel a lot and have my businesses run themselves. I ventured into the idea of franchising with a lot of excitement but after reading page after page, I'm feeling like there all scams for people like me to get sucked into. I read that article about an owner of a Quiznos committing suicide after his business went south. Are there any franchises out there that are worth investing in? I don’t mind buying a job, that’s fine with me as long as the store will turn a profit and make 50k+ the first few years of owning it. I keep hearing that half the people who own franchises are lucky to make $30k a year, which is about what I make now in my job. I guess what it all comes down to is this, is it possible to be successful in owning a franchise and actually make a profit over 50k a year? Is it possible to open up a new franchise every year or two so you have maybe in 10 years 5 franchises each earning 50k+ in profit to = $250k a year? What are the good franchises to look into? I do not mind working hard as long as my hardwork will pay off. If you had to list the top 10 best franchises to get involved with which would they be and why. I have $15k cash to invest in and the rest will be from a sba loan.

Re: Which franchise would you buy? Re: Which franchise would you buy? -
I like franchises that I have a personal interest in. I know this sounds redudant, but you hear about people who think they are going to invest in one franchise (or franchise industry), only to go a completely different direction after researching and gathering info. Personally, I like home service franchises - most of these are either mobile or home based (or both) and usually have relatively low start up costs (and there are many many to choose from across the industry).[/quote:2073rca2] Hi theFranchiseMarket, Can you list some of your favorite home service franchises for us and explain why they stand out from the rest? Thanks
Each Franchise is different! Each Franchise is different! - No two franchises are alike. Build the fee structure that makes most sense for all parties involved, franchisor, franchisee, and vendors. Yes vendors, some franchises take the the % that vendors (for example coke and pepsi) give them and contribute those to the advertising fund. Many franchises don't manage the advertising fund by themselves but seek franchisees to have a say in how the money is spent, some times thru regional franchisee groups. Speak to a few of the franchise development companies (franchise mills) be careful for the fill in the blank, one size fits all franchise development companies, those companies seldom produce successful franchise systems.
Re: Re Franchise etc Re: Re Franchise etc -
Can you see a shift of various types of franchises? What I am thinking about is that today it is more difficult to create franchises, that has great appeal. More and more people want to have their business, but no interference of someone else.[/quote:e0j0nu4t] Not sure what you mean exactly but it is certain that more and more people want to have their own business but not more and more people know what they really want to do, or how to do it. And that's what franchising is all about. Franchising is not for an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur will do his own thing. People who buy franchises want a turn key business, with a proven model. Franchising in the US had never been that good. I don't have the exact numbers in mind but I know for sure that franchising is growing more and more as people are getting more and more aware of this business model.
