Franchising can change the world

Article Overview: Who says that the franchise can not work in a small third world country or in an economically weaker countries, where humans are only one or two dollars a day? I believe that franchise systems can work in these positions, both in Asia, Middle East, former Soviet States, Indonesia, Latin America, the Caribbean or in Africa. You see, there are a whole series of micro-systems are helping in these countries, people start businesses of their own.

Franchising can change the world

Micro-franchising is a business model that attempts to adapt some of the traditional franchising concepts to small businesses in the developing world. It seeks to provide replicable business plans to small entrepreneurs in developing countries by using methodologies developed in the traditional franchising model. It attempts to follow in the footsteps of the micro-finance and micro-credit models in developing countries by funding new ideas and business opportunities

Are Economic Recessions Good for Franchising? - As I understand it, when there are more corporate layoffs you have more workers looking into starting their own business. It makes sense in a backwards sort of way. My first impression is that Franchising would take a hit like everyone else... but the more I look into it: [i:35vhc2a9]The opposite occurs[/i:35vhc2a9]. There's a larger pool of very qualified workers that are disenchanted with the corporate world. They are often more than willing to take a bigger risk and seek self-employment, whether it's a franchise or not. In my opinion, there are lots of good opportunities out there, it's just a matter of doing your research and finding a nice fit.

And that's what franchising is all about. Franchising is not for an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur will do his own thing. People who buy franchises want a turn key business, with a proven model. Franchising in the US had never been that good. I don't have the exact numbers in mind but I know for sure that franchising is growing more and more as people are getting more and more aware of this business model.
