As a part of India expansion, the company plans to set up 100 exclusive ‘W’ stores in the country including tier II and tier III cities by March 2012. Some of these stores are franchised.

“By the end of financial year 2011-2012, the plan is to set up 100 exclusive stores. We are also studying international markets such as the UK, theMiddleEastand theSouthEastAsiancountries which could have a good demand for the brand,” ‘W’ CEO Anant Daga. .

The plan for international expansion is at a nascent stage, as the company is studying the potential markets, seasonality, sizes, partnership models etc., Daga said. “We hope to make international foray in 2011-12,” he added.

About half of the existing 60 exclusive stores are owned by the company and rest by franchisees. However, going ahead, the focus on franchising will increase. “Of the 100 new stores planned, about 20 per cent will be company owned,” Daga said.

Asked about the investment required to set up one exclusive store, he said, “A new store can cost anywhere between Rs 35 lakh to 60 lakh depending on the size and location.”

The investment will be funded by internal accruals in case of the company-owned stores. Daga did not disclose annual turnover of the retail chain citing confidential reasons, as TCNS Clothing Company is a privately-held company.

“We are hoping to almost double the turnover by March next year as compared to last year,” Daga added.

Re: How will an african make money truely on the net? Re: How will an african make money truely on the net? - Hi Topeyinka, You touched a good point here. Unfortunately this problem is not just for Africans, less for those who live in south Africa, but also in Europe, the far east and the middle east. It is hard but many affiliates showed it is possible to do. If you really want too succeed nothing will ever stop you.
Re: How should a young entrepreneur dress to impress? Re: How should a young entrepreneur dress to impress? - I rarely "dress to impress" even when going to meetings. Now, I also don't wear sweatpants or other totally inappropriate clothing either. I usually just take the middle road and wear regular clothes similar to what I would wear out with friends or whatever. Sometimes a little nicer but never a suit and tie! I don't even own a suit and only have two ties - one of which I just got a couple weeks ago.
Men don't wear ties (necktie: US) like before! Men don't wear ties (necktie: US) like before! - Hi there, What is it, that hi class people just wear a suit without a tie. Have ties gone out of fashion? Is it mainly the younger generation or have we become more lazy to dress properly? Bill Gates. I cannot remember seen him a lot wearing a tie, but I checked it out on Google Pictures. It reveals, occasionaly he wears a tie. What does a business wear look like in five years time? Is it important to wear a tie these days? Who does like to wear a tie and why and who does not like to wear a tie and why? Kindest Regards Beat "Unlock People's Potentials!"
Re: Opening a Boutique Re: Opening a Boutique -
Hello, I currently live in NYC and wanted to open a boutique for women's formal/evening wear in Melbourne Australia. quote] Another good question is, do you have any experience with women's wear? It's hard enough to open a business across continents without it being a business you're brand new too as well. Seems like your questions should be answered by your cousin, he or she'd have the easieat access to that kind of info...
Choice of Logos Choice of Logos - Hi Mark, I prefer the middle one as the main version, with white lettering and yellow dots. The others can be variations for use when the middle one is not as readable, or too expensive for multicolour printing. To me the middle one is the strongest, although it is not as extreme as the one with the black letters. I consider the one with the black lettering to be the most aggressive version. Use all three, each one where most appropriate because of target audience or cost. Andreas
