Lawn Care and Landscaping Franchises- Reclaiming Lawns and Reinventing Careers

After a historically intense winter, during which at one point 49 out of the 50 U.S. states had snow on the ground, people are eagerly embracing spring. However, the melted snow is revealing the damaging effects and the toll that the winter weather took on trees and landscaping. Resuscitating lawns, shrubs and trees that have been ravaged by a relentless winter is proving to be a boon for landscaping and lawn care businesses that restore lawns to their green glory. With many homeowners and businesses lacking the time and resources necessary to tackle landscaping projects and lawn care themselves, they frequently rely on the trusted services that lawn care and landscaping franchises provide.

Meticulous landscaping and lush, green lawns boost the appearance, curb appeal and value of both commercial and residential properties. Well-manicured grounds play a vital role in cultivating a positive first impression. And the current trend among homeowners toward creating inviting outdoor living spaces, complete with kitchens, sofas and flat-screen TVs, is further fueling the demand for landscaping and lawn care services.

From suburban neighborhoods, to office parks, the age-old quest for sprawling green lawns and impeccably landscaped grounds has spawned a multi-billion dollar industry. According to Research and Markets' 2010 U.S. Landscaping Services Industry Report, the U.S. landscaping services industry includes about 90,000 companies with combined annual revenue of about $50 billion.

Lawn care and landscaping franchise opportunities offer aspiring business owners the chance to become part of the lucrative landscaping industry. Previous industry experience often is not necessary to qualify, as comprehensive training and support is typically provided. In addition to benefitting from owning a business that features an established business system and widespread brand recognition, owners of landscaping and lawn care franchises also enjoy the advantages of owning a business that provides relied-upon, frequently outsourced services and boasts repeat business.

Re: Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea Re: Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea - I posted this idea as a random thought I had. I haven't done any investigation into the costs. Vinyl wraps seems much more expensive and it'll be more difficult to sell your neighbourhood into getting a Vinyl wrap on their car. The beauty of the magnetic ads is that the vehicle owner can take it off at the end of the day and put it back on the next day. Quality control (aka ensuring the magnetic ads are actually put on the vehicles) is going to be a concern for the Companies that will want to advertise with you. You could do this another way. You could only involve businesses. e.g. Landscaping trucks can put up ads for other complementary businesses like Plumbers and vic versa - it'll be an honor system where the ads are kept up each month.
