Marcus L. Hunt received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University and his Bachelor of Arts degree from East Texas Baptist University. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2004. Mr. Hunt's primary areas of practice include franchising, intellectual property law (copyright and trademark), entertainment law, corporate transactions and real estate law. He has represented clients in trademark registrations and dispute resolutions. Mr. Hunt consults clients in copyright issues related to music and the performing arts, publishing, computer and internet content, and various other issues that arise for clients under copyright law. Mr. Hunt advises entertainment clients at all stages of their creative and business development. From determining the best business structure to operate under to negotiating industry contracts, Marcus partners with artist to develop the best strategy for their success. Marcus is a member of the American Bar Association's Sports and Entertainment Law section, the Gospel Music Association, and locally, he is the founder and Executive Director of Alabama Lawyers & Accountants For the Arts, a state-wide non-profit organized to provide legal and accounting support for artists and arts organizations throughout Alabama.
