If you are a fan of the fast-casual restaurant Quiznos and you have the desire to own your own business, you should consider starting your own Quiznos franchise. Quiznos has been in business since 1981, and the chain now has restaurants in every state in the U.S.

Most of the business Quiznos does occurs during lunch time, but with new additions to the menu and advertising campaigns, the chain has seen many restaurants offering breakfast and dinner service as well. In an effort to keep customers coming back for more, Quiznos typically rolls out new products between four and eight times per year. You already know the food is fresh and delicious, but do you have an idea about how much money a Quiznos franchise can make?

A Quiznos franchise requires an initial investment of about $341,800, according to the Franchise Marketing Systems website, along with a franchise fee of $25,000. The royalty rate is 7 percent. For your investment and hard work, you can earn $40,000 per month or almost $500,000 per year, according to the Franchise Pundit website.

Out of this $40,000, you would expect to have to pay $2,800 for the 7-percent royalty, along with about $400 for local advertising (1 percent) and about $1,200 for your contribution to the national advertising budget (3 percent). The largest costs are for food (about $11,600, or 29 percent) and labor (about $8,000, or 20 percent. Calculating the return on your investment depends on a variety of factors, including variations in rent, customer traffic and the response of consumers to local and national advertising campaigns. How much profit you make also depends on whether you decide to manage the restaurant yourself or if you plan to hire someone else to manage your Quiznos for you.
