The Current Franchising Climate

Today and throughout the course of this economic downturn, franchise sales have taken a hit. This is due in large part to people’s disinterest in starting a new business, which can be high-risk. People now want to be certain that they are producing long-term success and not just a quick influx of cash. People are not taking the economy for granted, and this has produced many savvy business owners.

And that's what franchising is all about. Franchising is not for an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur will do his own thing. People who buy franchises want a turn key business, with a proven model. Franchising in the US had never been that good. I don't have the exact numbers in mind but I know for sure that franchising is growing more and more as people are getting more and more aware of this business model.
