Franchising has been on the rise for ages because it's one of the most effective ways of becoming a successful business owner. Let's dwell on that for a minute. When you purchase a franchise, you are buying into a proven franchise system that you know will be automatically recognized by the public. People in general are more comfortable with familiarity. People are more apt to frequent establishments that have a franchise brand and/or service. After all, are you going to stop for lunch at Harvey's Hamburger joint or are you going to McDonald's?

John PowerJohn Power, founder of Biltmore Franchise Consulting, has extensive experience developing and marketing franchises and business opportunities.
