Writing a job advertisement for any position can be tricky. We receive many questions about the position of Human Resources Manager so we will focus on this position for the purpose of this article. Do you want them to email their resume and/or other records, do you prefer phone calls, faxing or even mail. Be specific and only provide the details that are necessary for that mode of communication. Include a contact name so that candidates may specify their correspondence to the hiring individual directly.

Don’t forget that just like resumes, job advertisements need to be easy and quick to read. They need to catch the attention of readers and stand out in a sea of other advertisements. Consider logos, borders, photos, bullet points and ensure it has been proof-read by at least 2 others for errors.
