Time Management Sales Effectiveness

Entrepreneurs worldwide are searching for more strategic time management solutions for sales effectiveness. How can you improvement your time management skills to increase sales? Here are some tricks of the trade that can assist you grow and develop your business through effective time management strategies.

Some sales managers and entrepreneurs spend so much time trying to manage time that they end up unproductive. Time management sales effectiveness depends largely on our ability to identify and prioritize high impact sales activities that align with sale goals. Are you or your sales team spending too much time on paperwork that gets in the way of selling? Overwhelmed by reports and data that is ineffective and hinders sales efficiency? Decide what is important to your final bottom line sales goals and stick with a simple plan. Try to decrease the additional duties that can be automated, delegated or eliminated entirely to open up more time for sales.

When planning your schedule to incorporate time management sales effectiveness, you may want to stop focusing your efforts on the daily grind and begin to plan your week, month and quarter in advance. This is why catch phrases like “macro management” and “the big picture” are becoming so popular. Micro managing your day will leave little room for growth and development.

Microsoft is a good example of a company that has worked with companies to develop strategies for time management sales effectiveness. For example, when Microsoft spent time with chemical companies, they found that sales teams needed more time to sell and they needed to lower their cost of sales. They found a gap between business applications (e.g. ordering, pricing, customer service) and personal productivity tools that sales agents and managers use daily. If the strength of the sales person lies in their communication skills, look at what tools are being provided to the sales staff to ensure they are supported, efficient and cost effective so that more time can be spent on negotiations and sales and less time on the processes around the sale.

So what does this mean? Take a look at the software and tools you provide your sales managers and sales team. Companies such as Microsoft have a lot to offer in terms of streamlining duties, increasing productivity and offering time management sales effectiveness tools that will allow you team to get out and sell.

The concept of time management sales effectiveness is very simple. Simplify the duties of those that are paid to sell, focus on longer term sales goals and objectives and ensure that there are tools in place that support the team to encourage time spent in the right direction which is making the sale!
