But there are a lot of templates and you can find an example of a business plan that will most likely fit your business needs on the internet with a few key strokes on a search engine. But is it really that easy? I'll answer that question with a question; what ever is? A success example of a business plan, no matter how specialized will consist of the following:

An example of a business plan would probably take up more room than I get on this website- unless I did a whole series. (That is something I just might think about.) But there are a lot of templates and you can find an example of a business plan that will most likely fit your business needs on the internet with a few key strokes on a search engine. But is it really that easy? I'll answer that question with a question; what ever is?

A success example of a business plan, no matter how specialized will consist of the following:

• Executive Summary
• Company Analysis
• Industry Analysis
• Customer Analysis
• Identify the Competition
• Marketing Plan
• Operations Plan
• Management Team
• Financial Plan

If you are anything like me at all you would be hoping there is some way around all that research and writing, I'm here to tell you there is not. These sections are imperative for writing a good business plan. Examples of these sections can be a little interesting to read through and can spark a little inspiration, so don't be intimidated.

A few key points to remember when looking for a good example of a business plan is whether or not the plan you are reading is applicable to your business. For example a plan involving a manufacturing business will have in depth details regarding how to produce a product and might go into detail on manufacturing techniques. If your business involves sales exclusively, be that as a direct distributor or as a retailer, obviously a better example should be found. However if you are opening say a restaurant, where you will be cooking your product, some of the same principles will still apply, if loosely. Consider this when trying to find a good example.

Compare several business plans and take what you like from several and apply them to your own plan. This could be stylist preferences such as whether or not you are a fan of bullet points or a flare for the dramatic (yes, sometimes this can apply in small quantities). The things you liked about the examples you've seen will definitely help inspire you to write a plan. Most if the examples I have seen online have had something interesting about them and fired my imagination in some way or another.

Finding the right example of a business plan is not always as cut and dry as typing "business plan example for sock industry" or what have you. Finding just one example and sticking to that one example as a reference point for your own sock company (or what have you) will not always produce a quality business plan. Despite the apparent rigidity of the sections listed above, how you approach these sections can be different as you will see in your research and read in the examples you find. There are ways of getting your information down in print that might better appeal to you and your own personal style. So don't close yourself off by settling on just one example your first time out. Stay flexible.

Business Innovation - Hi Simon If you can finish off the Business Plan and think about your strategic direction or how you are going to use your product to convince people it's a great idea, it will set the foundation for your programming project. You see, when you are looking for funding you will need a Business Plan and Strategic Plan that will convince companies to invest into your new idea. Has anyone achieved this idea before using another industry besides health and fitness that you know of? You should also design some mockups as a "preview" for your programming project. This will also help reduce your programming costs as everyone will know exactly what you want if you have detailed mockups already completed including any functionality you require. Starting mockups for websites and software applications on paper is the best way if you're not a guru in graphic editing software.

It is unfortunate that these types of errors, the most basic of errors as you point out here are common to too many business plans, having reviewed a few hundred myself from both a development and funding perspective. The Best Business Books Ever: The 100 Most Influential Business Books You'll Never Have Time to Read - this is a fascinating book about the history of Business theory, and I'd recommend it to anybody. 2. The Big Book of Small Business: You Don't Have to Run Your Business by the Seat of Your Pants, by Tom Gegax. Ditto. 3. PADI: The Business of Diving Book Okay, so this book won't be of use to anyone who doesn't want to start a scuba store, but I did, and this book was of course invaluable to me in reaching that goal.
