6 Parts to UnReasonable Success

This week I’ve taken the plunge and decided to head upstate for a week to finish writing my book that I’ve been working on for almost three years.
While in seclusion, I’ve seen how I can really amp up the UnReasonable results in my business as well. I’m seeing that while my business is growing and morphing like crazy right now, I am playing small in some ways.
As I do my final edits on this book, I am reminding myself of some of the most core principles of achieving the UnReasonable.
Here they are for you as well:
#1: Be UnReasonable
My definition to Be UnReasonable has two parts (you will not find this definition in Webster’s Dictionary).
First, when you are UnReasonable, you are outside of your comfort zone. You are going beyond what you know you can do.
Second: reason comes from the mind. And UnReason comes from the heart. The heart has no logic behind it… it just tells you to go.
So, my definition to Be UnReasonable is when you are following your heart, getting clear on what it is telling you to do, and then really stretching yourself to get there.
Why Be UnReasonable?
As George Bernard Shaw once said, “Nothing of any great significance was achieved by a reasonable mind.” When you are really following your heart… your passion… and you are stretching yourself to obtain it, you are operating at your fullest potential.
#2: Just Freakin' Do It!
When you are really stretching yourself and going beyond where you would normally go, it is natural for you to want to go back “inside,” where it is safe and cozy… to a place that is familiar and comfortable for you.
To Just Freakin’ Do It means to go ahead and move forward, regardless of your fears. Face those fears, and deal with the unknown.
Why Just Freakin' Do It?
For you to really move to the next level, you must take those scary things on. Just Freakin’ Do It acts as a reminder and encouragement to go for it regardless of your fears.
#3: Use Affirmations
Affirmations are statements you repeat to yourself, in the first person. They are designed to shift your thinking and focus onto that which you are and/or that which you desire in your life.
Why Use Affirmations?
Using affirmations helps you shift your thoughts towards those that are in alignment with what you desire. When done repeatedly, over time they change your non-supporting habits into new, healthy ones.
The power of affirmations comes in your way of thinking. There is a maxim I live by:
Thoughts become words.
Words become actions.
Actions become habits.
Habits become destiny.
Repeated affirmations, your thoughts, coupled with energy/emotion, end up becoming your destiny.
#4: Visualize
To visualize is to form a clear mental image of something. And when you think about it, we are always visualizing things, whether it is something that is good or bad.
Visualizing being on stage and being frightened or nervous, or failing that exam you want to pass are examples of visualizing bad things. Visualizing yourself enjoying that date you just had, seeing your son open that birthday gift you just bought him, or you driving that car you want are examples of positive visualizations.
I encourage you to visualize what you want, not what you don’t want.
Why Visualize?
When you create a picture of something in your mind, you are more likely to attract it into your life.
Many of us have heard of the Law of Attraction—that which is likened to itself is drawn, or like energy attracts like energy. What you think and feel, you attract.
Thinking and feeling things you want can be enhanced by visualizing that which you want. Couple this with affirmations of what you want, and you create a powerful regiment towards attracting it into your life.
#5: Have a BLAST
Having fun doing what you do. Bring in the passion for what it is you are doing.
Why Have a BLAST?
When you are enjoying what you are doing, you radiate out certain energy to those around you. People pick up the “vibes” of your energy and subconsciously are attracted to it.
And with that powerful radiation of energy, you end up attracting more of it into your experience.
We’ve all seen, heard and read about “lucky” people. Lucky ones are primarily those that are happy and find the gifts in what it is they experience. They shift the meanings of their experiences from negative or neutral to positive.
By focusing your energy on having fun, you much more likely to attract what you most desire into your life.
#6: Trust
To be playing a big game, requires you to leave your comfort of what is known to you and venture into the unknown.
Trust is a form of managing that unknown. When you do not know how something is going to go, you can either stress about it or trust that things are going to come out okay.
Why Trust?
If you trust the pilot flying your plane, you’ll enjoy the flight. If you don’t, you’re in for a bumpy ride. Engage the challenges that come up, enjoy the process, and stick to your commitments.
Trusting the universe and yourself that things are going to be okay is crucial in getting there.
Action Steps for the Week:
Take some time and ask yourself and answer the following:
- How UnReasonable Are You Being? Rate Yourself on a scale of 0-10.
- Where in your life are you “psyching yourself out”? Where are you giving yourself and others excuses for not doing what you know you want to?
- How can you add the “fun factor” to what you are doing? What would you take on for yourself if you found a way to enjoy doing it? HINT: Look at those things you’ve been procrastinating on.
- Having a difficult time in trusting things are going to come out more than just fine? Look to see where you feel you must control the situation in order for things to get done. That is an excellent place to start trusting and letting go.
Now take your answers and choose the one that really speaks to you the most and take it on to stretch yourself, have fun with it and trust things are going to come out just fine.

Re: Success Re: Success - I study success intently, and would like to share: Here's two excellent and nearly identical success-formulas from a couple of the world's masters. FIRST FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Clear, Definite Purpose 3. Committed Decision 4. Take Action In Faith (Bonus Secret Sauce: 5. Repeat Consistently) I made a video about this, but am not allowed to link it yet. Google "Ryze Success Steps" for it. Oh, and this is Napoleon Hill's (Master Of Success Laws)'s Formula. SECOND FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Understand It Is Already Done (Faith) 3. Relax & Allow It To Unfold (Go about your life calmly) This one is courtesy of Abraham-Hicks (inspiration for the movie The Secret). Hope that helps!
Success Strategies Success Strategies - How to get the results you want now? Success Strategies and Action Steps I have used are: The Power of Choice Where you are at this present moment, is exactly perfect from the choices you have made. If you want to be somewhere else, you have to decide clearly what that is (your goal/outcome) and create action steps to achieve this. The Power of Focus The book "The Power of Focus" by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt, is one of my treasures in my Entrepreneur Library. If you focus on what you want versus what you do not want, your conscious and sub-conscious mind will direct attention to this. The movie, What the Bleep, Down the Rabbit Hole, explains this in detail about quantum physics and what we create in our lives. The Power of Commitment This is not about commitment to others. The first step is the commitment, your word, you make to yourself. Accountability and responsibility are additional success strategies and ingredients to creating the success, defined by you, that you want. The commitment to others reflects your integrity, your word and the team you work with. Co-workers, clients, yoru family, friends and community.
