At that publication, which features articles and departments on management for executives at manufacturing companies, she worked as senior editor and director of the magazine’s flagship database projects. She also is a prolific freelance writer doing projects for various outlets including the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Business.com, and several local public relations agencies in the Cleveland area. Purdum is a graduate of the Kent State University School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kent, Ohio, and an alumnus of the Wharton Seminar for Business Journalists, Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
