Hydroponic Grow Closet: The Perfect Place to Grow your Own Food

Guest post by: Alma Newton

Article Overview: I recently had a response to one of my videos on growing in hydroponics and it said, more or less, that we should all stop denying the fact that we only need a hydroponic grow closet for one crop and one crop only. What absolute nonsense! The world would be starving if it wasn’t for the producers of food using hydroponics and a hydroponic grow closet is just a miniature version for us to use in our own homes. At the moment, I am growing broccoli, lettuce and cucumbers in my hydroponic grow closet and boy, do they taste good!

Hydroponic Grow Closet: The Perfect Place to Grow your Own Food

I recently had a response to one of my videos on growing in hydroponics and it said, more or less, that we should all stop denying the fact that we only need a hydroponic grow closet for one crop and one crop only.

A hydroponic grow closet contains everything a plant needs to flourish and produce a crop. The hydroponic grow closet creates a mini eco-system and environment that plants just love. This environment is automatically controlled for the perfect growing situation.

When you shop for a hydroponic grow closet, you will find many in all sizes and price ranges. You will, I’m sure, find a hydroponic grow closet just the right size to stand in an unused corner of your room or in the crawl space of your basement. There are even small ones that will fit under a desk and look like a computer box! Check out what they include because some come with more supplies than others. However, all of them will have the basic essentials to make your plants happy. A successful crop is what you are aiming for and, as long as you follow the instructions, this is what you’ll get with a hydroponic grow closet.

Like everything else, there is a learning curve to go through but, in my experience, the manufacturers of your hydroponic grow closet do everything they can to make your discoveries easy and successful. Wait till you taste the first crops from your hydroponic grow closet and then you’ll know what real, fresh veggies, fruits and herbs are supposed to taste like. You’ll never go back to the store bought, gassed and stored for two years, trucked for miles produce that has virtually no taste.

There is so much supporting information and education out there for growing in a hydroponic grow closet that it makes failing to grow good plants almost impossible. Hydroponic grow closet websites abound, as do books on the subject plus articles and ebooks, videos and mp3s. Do some research and you will find that growing in a hydroponic grow closet is a definite upward trend and not to be dismissed.

The space program at NASA is developing its own style of hydroponic grow closet so that the astronauts of the future can have fresh veggies, fruits and herbs on their extensive journeys. How else could they provide such stuff? Take a look at their website and you will see how they’re teaching children to grow in hydroponics by running school programs and experiments. With any luck, these future adults will laugh at the ‘smoking’ junkies with their mono-crop and go to their hydroponic grow closet and pick a luscious, fresh cherry tomato to munch on.

Think and Grow Rich Think and Grow Rich - Hi Moira, What a great post! I completely agree with it and it really is too easy to underestimate those 3 points but once we learn to use them the sky is the limit. I am currently reading Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill. Have you read that book?

Re: Are you going to watch the Social Network? Re: Are you going to watch the Social Network? - I think it would be great to see this guy's story. Even though movies tend to exaggerate, I love reading about and watching the stories of entrepreneurs. The underlying principle is always the same - successful businesses always start with an idea. Even if you inherit a business, it originated with someone's idea. That's why I love Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich."
