Having worked in the field of horticulture since the late nineties, Betsey has experience in many aspects of the industry. Working her way through college in nurseries and doing landscaping, she gained a true passion for "all things green". Upon graduation, Betsey helped build, grow and manage a start-up perennial propagation farm and retail nursery. At the tender age of 21, she earned the respect of the owners, employees and clients and was elected to be COO of the firm. During this tenure, not only did she wrangle in management of the nursery production and sales team but she also aided in development of the nursery's garden design firm. With great successes under her belt, Betsey broke away and became part of the sales team with one of the most highly regarded landscaping firms in Metro-Atlanta. After years of selling conventional landscaping, her passion for green awareness came to the forefront. She became certified in Sustainable Urban Landscaping. Betsey is dedicated to organic and local gardening and is committed to taking the concept of sustainability into her industry and to the mainstream marketplace. "I believe with my heart that change in the green industry can make a large-scale difference; it begins with the right attitude and making the decision and commitment to change. I am grateful for each client who allows me the opportunity to share my passion with them. At the end of the day, this is a cause and a business that is truly worth working for."
