Green driving = saving money

How can you be green and save gasoline/diesel? 1) Check your tire pressure (ask tire shop)

Low tire pressure works like a brake

- you need more gasoline/diesel

2) Check how much unnecessary things/weight you have in your car.

Many trunks are filled with things you normally don't need in there. Every pound raises your gasoline consumption.

3) Check your air filter

An engine needs air to burn the gasoline/diesel

When the air filter is clogged up, the engine has to suck harder and you need more gasoline/diesel

4) Think about how fast you drive

The faster you drive the more gasoline/diesel you burn

Our recycling truck gets 18 mi/gallon when we drive 70 mph

BUT it run 22 miles a gallon when we drive 53 mph

Sure, it takes more time, but just take your calculator

When you have to drive 35 miles with 70 mph you need 1/2 an hour or 30 minutes

Now, you want to save gasoline/diesel and you lower your speed to 53 mph

you will drive 9 minutes longer BUT you save $1.40 on this one short trip

Think about how much you can lower your monthly bill.

5) Think about using synthetic oil for your engine

Synthetic oil provides less friction

less friction = less gasoline/diesel usage

6) Think ahead when you drive and you will save a lot of gasoline/diesel

Don't speed to the next light. When you see it is red, take your foot from the pedal.

Every time you hit the brakes, you destroy energy = your money.

7) Save a lot of gasoline when reducing the time you idle your engine

The good thing about green driving is that you save a lot of money and

Eco friendly Driving helps our environment!

Re: Looking for tax advice from full time internet marketers Re: Looking for tax advice from full time internet marketers - Hi Trent - I've had my accountant prepare all my taxes both personal and business for the past number of years. I find that he's always on top of what deductions I can make and has really helpful tax planning advice - his knowledge more than pays off in savings compared to what I pay him as a fee - so I'm saving money and saving time! You have to have enough earnings though to make the deductions worthwhile. For entrepreneurs making $40k per year then paying an accountant probably doesn't make sense but if you're into the six figures then you should start to realize some significant savings. Plus you get to spend more time doing what you're actually good at and what brings in money instead of spending your time on your taxes. Hope that helps!
Re: Service Or Product? Re: Service Or Product? - I think that's true VSL. You would definitely have to have the right product for the times. Perhaps something about saving money......if you know of several ways that you are able to do that. Or a gadget that will save them money. One that is a necessity; like a vacuum or something that would save a lot of energy so they'd see the difference in their bills. Yes, timing is everything!
Re: 3 Signs That I Need To Get Serious About IM... Re: 3 Signs That I Need To Get Serious About IM... - Hi David, I can fully understand your concerns at how the meeting would go and also your elation at the outcome. It’s a natural feeling not wanting to let someone down but also to come out of it with respect and dignity for each other and that certainly seems to be the case here. I am sure she was shocked to get the money back but I am also sure she was full of admiration for your professional integrity after that and she may even tell her friends about your Mahjong sets,LOL. On the subject on my travel, you have given me some food for thought there, I am always driving so maybe I should explore the CD market for inspirational material although I am not sure what I could achieve whilst driving apart from inspiration to work harder or smarter etc and translate that into my work when I get home. regards, Mal.
Re: 10 ideas to make you money in 2010 Re: 10 ideas to make you money in 2010 - I think Education would be hard to break into. Baby Boomers, Life Support and Trading Down, however, seem like good markets. As for Green technology goes, I don't think the business has to be entirely based on Green ideologies, but rather a business that embrace Green philosophies and use that as a marketing tool.
Re: About: product production! Re: About: product production! - That makes sense Kevin. By getting the patent yourself, not only are you saving a lot of money, but you are also learning the laws involved with how it all works and are far less likely to have someone cheat you out of what is rightfully yours.
