Kinder Sign is the practice of using sign language to communicate with infants and toddlers. An infant is not able to coordinate his lips, tongue, breath, and vocal cords simultaneously to speak. The lack of ability to communicate, though wanting to so much, often leads to frustration and tantrums. Closer bonds are then able to be developed between parents and their babies. But there’s more, studies have shown that babies who know sign language have larger vocabulary, they speak in longer sentences, and they have higher IQs, as much as 12 points higher than babies who don’t sign.
