Home Staging Helps Sellers Meet Conditional Offer Deadline

In a hot real estate market, buyers usually have to present unconditional offers in order to get the properties they want. But a slower real estate market like the one we’re in now means that it’s not uncommon for sellers to get offers that are conditional on the sale of the buyer’s current home.

When someone falls in love with a new home and then has to sell their old one by a certain date in order to avoid nullifying their offer, they will be willing to bend over backward to sell their old house.

In a case like this, when a seller has made a strong emotional connection with a new house and they have come to terms with selling their existing home, home staging provides them with perfect solution. This is one of many reasons why home staging makes so much sense in a slow real estate market and home stagers should be pointing this out in their conversations with potential clients.

It’s a proven fact that staged homes spend less time on the market than unstaged homes do, so this should be a key point in your sales presentation to home owners - home staging can help a seller meet the deadline to sell their current home contained in their conditional offer.

Another bonus when you work with clients in a scenario like this is they’ll often love what you’ve done with their existing home so much that they will ask you to decorate the home they’re moving into.

Re: Moderators on vacation Re: Moderators on vacation - Hi GT, Thanks for the warm words. I have some time to kill before 3PM. I am all alone here, with the cleaning guy. Then home to work on my project. I am scanning all the old photos I found at my grandmother's house and will create a big digital album from them, then use online software to print the book. Deadline is the end of the week.
Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff
