Staging Diva Graduate Leah Fritz sets example for all stagers

About her business, established home stager Leah Fritz says, "Last year stunk, but quitting was not an option for me. Walking away from my ‘baby' would have probably sent me into depression. Everything worth having comes with hard work. That's why they call child birth ‘labor.'" While the economy was taking its toll onLeah Fritz's home stagingbusiness, she was working harder than ever, focusing heavily on her marketing despite the storm of uncertainty swirling around her.

Since she wasn't distracted by ringing phones, she invested time in the development of her marketing plan to make it ring again. Because she wasn't busy fielding emails she focused instead onbuilding relationships with past customers and potential clients. She used the time she had on her hands to try some different marketing tactics and she even tweaked her branding.

Staging Diva, Debra Gould says, "Besides all of those activities, Leah had herProfile Listing on theStaging Diva Directory of Home Stagers working for her. She didn't panic, like some stagers do, saying they weren't getting enough business to keep their listing active. Leah knows that's the wrong way to think about marketing, because she knew if nothing else, with her presence on the Directory of Home Stagers she was out there where potential clients would be looking for her. In fact, she recently renewed her listing for a fourth year!"

Leah eventually got so busy that she was having trouble keeping up with herself. But just because she was suddenly busy with staging homes, speaking engagements she was being paid for and redesign projects, she kept on marketing her business.

Debra Gould, founder of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program says, "Leah has also been busy developing her own home staging blog which she has recently launched to help grow her business even more. The word is out about her business, Perfect Place Home Staging."

Leah was recently contacted by a real estate investor who had his latest flip on the market for months without any offers. The house was small and buyers were having difficulty imagining themselves living in the 960 square foot space. Leah staged the space with appropriate scale rental furniture and accessories.

Less than 24 hours after the home was staged, the owners got a full price offer.

The real estate investor told Leah he would have many properties for her to sell because he would ""hate to see her working for the competition!"

Debra Gould says, "Leah has put everything she learned from the Staging Diva Program (especially Course 4 which focuses on marketing) into effect, ensuring that she's building her business no matter what the economy is doingand she has the confidence to sell her staging services for what they are worth."

International Shipping Costs Money! International Shipping Costs Money! - Here's my perspective on high "shipping" costs, as someone who ships high quality mahjong sets across the globe from Japan... "Shipping" costs amounts to more than just the price you see on the shipping label! (That's why we call it shipping AND handling!) For example, if you want one of my top-end mahjong sets it will cost around $65-$95 to have it shipped to you. About $12-17 of that is eaten up by Paypal transaction charges. The rest goes on Express Mail shipping, and NO I don't offer other methods because they do not offer any security for either party. A set weighing 3-5kg when packed will cost around 5000-7000 yen to be shipped to the USA, more to non EU parts of Europe, and more still to South America. And the dollar is only worth 87 yen on Paypal at the moment (down from 120 yen a few years ago...). I haven't mentioned the cost of getting the sets from the supplier to me, or the packaging costs. I regularly find myself "subsidising" the cost of shipping sets to places like Russia - even though Russia is one of Japan's neigbours! The other day someone wanted to buy three high quality sets but hated the "shipping" cost - so the order fell through. No worries. I don't have time to waste on those who think shipping should be free. International shipping is an amazing service - and an expensive operation! Don't take it for granted.
Re: Allexperts website Re: Allexperts website - [quote="BigJim22":3ef2uogp]I wonder how popular this website is. [/quote:3ef2uogp] The site's Alexa ranking is 24,953 - [i:3ef2uogp]very [/i:3ef2uogp]respectable. Basically any site with a ranking less than 100,000 is doing extremely well in terms of traffic. This site has a ranking of 77,804. Amazon ranks #20, Google ranks #3, MSN #2, Yahoo #1. Hope that helped, Leah

Re: Can you make a real living online? Re: Can you make a real living online? - If you count people like me who run two kinds of business online, then the answer is "Yes, you can!" I was earning a nice supplementary income from japanese-games-shop.com before I knew much about Internet marketing - the terms I used to discuss my products (japanese mahjong sets, shogi sets, hanafuda decks etc) naturally rose through the ranks of Google and orders began to come in on a regular basis. It does mean that I have to run around getting goods, then pack and post them. It was when I moved into affiliate marketing that the game got tougher and I have had to learn a lot of new skills to move forward... One thing I discovered was the power of having good online mentors! Another was that you have to promote YOURSELF as much as the stuff you are selling! Short answer: Yes! Yes, if you are willing to learn the skills and APPLY them regularly.
