One of the best home business ideas for couples is network marketing. It is quick to start an MLM business and you can be working together right away. Below are a few ideas on how you can start a home business in network marketing and work together as a couple.

1. Retail the products. Either you can choose to promote your products primarily online or to work with customers within your local area.

It is not unusual for some couples to do both. What is attractive about network marketing is you can retail products and make a high profit on them very quickly.

The Internet makes it possible to sell products online and ship them directly to your customer. Usually the network marketing company will collect payment from the customer so you do not have to worry about that.

Autoship makes it possible to receive residual income on retail sales. This means that couples can concentrate on getting traffic to their retail website and not have to spend time calling people back for repeat orders.

2. Sponsor new members. You can make big money in network marketing by bringing in new distributors and growing an active downline.

Women are naturally better at networking than men. A lot of men are more used to doing phone follow up or speaking in front of a group.

You have the option of prospecting in person, or using the Internet to generate your new prospects. Husband and wife can both follow-up with potential distributors to explain their business opportunity.

Your aim is to enroll as many new frontline distributors as you possibly can. Depending on each individual’s strengths and weaknesses, often each couple will divide these responsibilities up differently.

In you are prospecting online you will need to spend some time generating website traffic to enroll new distributors. You may be promoting a landing page, getting your prospects into an auto-responder and then letting them sort themselves out via email.

3. Training. An important part of long term income is learning how to build a business.

You are going to want to have some kind of training available for your newly enrolled distributors. You could set up your own training website or encourage them to get involved with the company provided webinars.

Some prefer to do some phone training or even sitting down with people in person if they are in your local area. There are many ways to train a downline, but what is important is that you are responsive to their needs.

It is easy to see why this is one of the best home business ideas for couples, when you are doing network marketing. It enables couples to focus on their individual strengths to build their business. Although this will vary from one couple to the next, the goal ends up being the same.
