1. Social networking. It is very likely that you are already spending time utilizing social networking in one way or another.

Have you already set up a Facebook account? Millions of people have and this represents an opportunity for you to make money on the Internet.

Joining affiliate programs and promoting them on your own Facebook account is one way to do this. Also you can purchase Facebook ads and promote on other people's pages.

Another social networking site that Internet marketers are having good results promoting on is Twitter. LinkedIn is also a great social site for making business connections that could turn into an Internet money making opportunity.

2. You Tube. Lots of You Tube videos have been created for entertainment. But now many Internet marketers are using it to create videos to promote products they want to sell online.

Google is the owner of this shared video site and will rank a quality video in the search results for targeted keyword phrases. As there's less competition with this form of social media it presents a great opportunity to create videos and sell products without competing with other website owners.

If you have trouble creating videos one strategy is to write articles and use an article converter to make a video. You don’t need to have any technical experience to do this.

3. Blogging. Choose a targeted niche that you have a great interest in and start your own blog.

You can then monetize your blog with affiliate products in the form of banner ads and text ads. You could also join the Google Adsense affiliate program and let Google sell advertising for you. You just need to add some code to your blog and it is an easy way to make money from your blog without doing any sales.

Every time you make a blog post you want to set each one up around a different targeted keyword phrase. Then bookmark your blog post using a social bookmarking service such as Only Wire.

Doing this consistently will provide an excellent source of traffic to your blog as each blog post you bookmark serves as link bait for website visitors and the search engines.

Maybe we should open up a new section in the forums on Social Media...or Social Media Marketing. I will tell you that the world is about 1 1/2 behind when it comes to understanding social media. Building a section now will put EvanCarmichael.com is a great position a year down the road when people realize Social Media can produce more traffic than SEO. Jeff

There are a few qualified characters here that would fit nicely as moderators. No sweat GT.
