1. Initially affiliate programs focused on an affiliate selling a product for the merchant. This is known as pay per sale and Amazon is an example of an affiliate program using this model.

The majority of affiliate programs are free to join and an affiliate earns online income every time they sell a product for the merchant. Nowadays there are literally thousands and thousands of affiliate programs that pay people daily to sell their products.

You will be hard pressed to find a niche that does not have an affiliate program associated with it. You can decide whether you want to join an affiliate network such as ClickBank or Commission Junction where you will have access to multiple products and programs or join individual programs.

2. Another way to earn online income with affiliate marketing is through the cost per action programs, also known as pay per lead. Your focus here is to gather leads for advertisers.

You would get paid when someone fully completes a simple form – such as adding their name and email address. Usually the more information the lead is required to enter on the form the higher the payout for you. This is a very easy way to make online income as you are not actually selling anything - you are just advertising your affiliate link.

3. Pay per click is where you join a program that sells advertising for you. You will be required to place some code on your own web pages that will display advertisers for a website visitor to view.

You will earn whenever a website visitor clicks on one of your ads. The payout can range from a few cents to several dollars per click.

Building large information sites with numerous pages targeting different keyword phrases is a primary way to make a business out of this. It goes without saying that the more pages you have with ads on them, the more potential online income you will earn.

Once one site is profitable you can then start another site in a different niche and repeat the process. This is one of the popular online business ideas due to the fact that you can focus on building content sites rather than on selling products.

Once you get the hang of it you will find there are ways you can blend your ads in to the pages to make them more eye-appealing. The more skilled you become at this the more money you will earn.

There are pros and cons to Affiliate Marketing, just as there are to any business. As has been suggested, he best policy is to proceed with caution and do some research before jumping in. As Carol has recommended, this topic thread in the EvanCarmichael.com forum is the ideal place to ask questions and seek further input on available Affiliate Marketing programs. If a person is serious about building an online business and is interested in Affiliate Marketing plans, they should approach the process as they would any other form of business. Research, ask questions, compare opportunities, participate in forums on online business and Affiliate Marketing. GT :-]

I think in Online Marketing company online presence can be a wining factor for the success of the company.
Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - Hi GT Affiliate Marketing is one of the easier ways to get started making money online, but it does take quite a bit of work before you see any great results as you have to keep promoting constantly. It does teach you one hell of a lot about all aspects of Internet Marketing though as you will need to learn how to write and submit articles, create and maintain a blog, social networking is a great help to affiliates too..the list goes on and on. Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - You made some very good points here Jeff and I agree with you, Affiliate Marketing should not be something that you concentrate all your efforts into. As i said earlier I have learned a lot with Affiliate Marketing and continue to do so, and it has helped me tremendously to understand what I am going to have to do in my chosen niche(s).
