1. How much extra income do you want to earn? This is an obvious question because somebody who wants to make $200 a month is going to approach things differently than the person who wants to earn a seven-figure income.

What is so great about the Internet is you can do either one of these or anything in between. There really are so many ways to make extra money online today that it all begins with understanding how much money you want to make.

2. How many hours do you have every day or every week to work online? Working on a consistent basis is what you are going to have to do.

It is certainly possible to develop a full-time income while working part time. However, that does not happen overnight. When trying to make money online the main problem most people have is they are not consistent in how they go about it.

If you expect to earn money you cannot work real hard for one week and then take one week off. However, if you can invest at least 2 to 4 hours on a regular basis you can make extra income.

3. Do you have an entrepreneurial flair? An entrepreneur is somebody who is going to take a few risks and start their own home Internet business.

You don't need to do this if you are searching for a part-time job. You can make extra money taking paid surveys, doing data entry, typing at home, reading emails, and so on.

Home business owners are people who want to develop a business of their own. This is possible to do online as well.

Affiliate marketing and network marketing are excellent business models for making money with your own online home business. Or you can join a direct sales company and run your business primarily from home online.

4. What are your long term goals? When you first get started you may just want to make a little bit of extra money.

Long term you may want to quit your job and work at home full-time for yourself. Knowing what your goals are will help determine how you can achieve them.

These are a few things to keep in mind as it pertains ways to earn extra income. Using the Internet from the comfort of your own home is a great way to do it.

Unless you're selling big ticket items on your site you don't want to use it, your keywords can cost from 20 cents upwards.

Free time to create and promote my own products (relies on #1) 3. 5% of all revenues generated by my team going to feed starving kids Now that is "feel good work".

Maintaining a 6 figure income year in and year out. 2. Creating and promoting my own products. 3. Income not solely dependent upon my personal effort. How about yours?
