This is the time of year that a lot of people are looking for some extra cash. There are bills to pay, presents to buy and there never seems to be enough money to do everything on your list. If you are worrying about having enough money to make it through the holidays or even recoup from them, take a few steps to earn money this Christmas by taking Internet surveys.

Market research companies are always looking for consumer data and often pay for the privilege of that information. Market research is vital to good business and that is why survey companies are always looking for people to voice their opinions. In addition, survey companies sometimes pay when friends you refer to them sign up to take surveys.

Once you sign up for an Internet survey company they will send you a questionnaire to see which surveys you might qualify for. The more detailed information you provide in your answers the better your chance of being able to answer surveys and make extra money.

You can choose which surveys to participate in out of those you are qualified for, but Internet surveys can be fun. You will often learn about new products before they're released to the public when you take these types of surveys.

In some cases, the Internet survey company will require a certain amount of money in your account before they will release the funds to you and/or they will ask you to take a survey to be entered into a sweepstakes of some sort or reward you in retail gift cards instead of cash.

For those who do pay cash, not everyone will pay you via PayPal either. Some will send you a paper check while others will directly deposit into your bank account if you so choose. So be aware. If you need money fast, make sure to check the terms of service before joining or your money might just take awhile to make it to your account.

You can sign up for several Internet survey companies at one time and should probably do so to make sure that you don't run out of surveys to take when you need the money most. The advantage to signing up for more than one Internet survey company is you have more options to earn even more Christmas money.

Sometimes, survey companies will ask you to participate in an online conference room survey, a phone survey or a live market research group in your local area. These opportunities pay even more than just taking a few minutes to fill out a survey online, but can take up more time ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the company requirements.

Participating in Internet surveys is something you can do any time of the day and since it doesn't require a great degree of concentration you might get away with watching television, listening to music or helping your kids with their homework at the same time.

Being generous has its rewards! - My friend wants to go around the streets on Christmas night giving homeless people $20 bills. Maybe I'll tell him to start a fundraiser, find a few sponsors and hold an event instead? It could be for everyone who don't have a families to be with during Christmas? They can all get together on Christmas day and have some fun and get to know each other. (sort of like a little family?) It probably sounds better in theory though, lol.

Re: New Video - Should I Get A Job Or Start A Business? - Hi Evan, I was curious to know what you'd suggest and I think you gave excellent advice. Taking a year out to try and start your own business is a great idea. Taking a year out after college is a well established option so I guess it doesn't prejudice your chances of getting a job should you wish to do so later on; it probably improves your chances if you've been getting valuable experience of managing a business and of course, if all goes well, you won't need to find out. Definitely a video for my website. Thanks! David

Re: What are reasons to stay in touch with your customers? - To remind them of a holiday for which they may want to buy a gift from your business and give to the person (such as Mother's day or Christmas). Although I've never done it, I've heard that off holidays (such as Memorial Day) for which we don't think of getting a card on, are the best ones to send them on so they don't get lost in all the other Christmas or Easter cards people are sending at the typical times. I don't know if that's what you're looking for or not. That's all I can think of right now.
