The Heart of Home Business Success

The business success recipe is made up of many different ingredients.

You have to have a vision, plan, skills, determination, support, and structures and processes in order to succeed.

But the most important ingredients of all are a passion for what you're doing and a strong belief in your ability to create your success – in other words, self-esteem.

You may know of some entrepreneurial spirits with specialized skills, immense knowledge and a strong support system behind them, yet they fail terribly in their efforts to build a business.

Sometimes failure results because the business owner chose a business that wasn't in alignment with her values and genuine interests, and that's where lack of passion snuffs out the dream.

Passion fuels you to press through the challenges and pick yourself up when you're knocked off your feet. Without passion, the first significant challenge may be enough for you to turn on your heels and head in another direction instead of tackling it straight on.

When you don't have passion for what you do, there is nothing to fuel the fire in your belly and keep you excited about your work once money is no longer the motivating factor.

More often than not, many businesses still fail even though all of the above ingredients are present, and you can trace this to lack of confidence and insufficient belief in oneself on the part of the entrepreneur.

High self-esteem is at the heart of every great entrepreneur and every successful business.

To build a successful business you must have a high tolerance for risk, the strength of mind to carry on after each failure and the ability to face fear and move through it.

High self-esteem gives you the ability to continue reaching for your goal even when everyone else says it can't be done.

High self-esteem humbles you and allows you to accept guidance and assistance from others.

High self-esteem allows you to be the judge of your capabilities instead of allowing others to decide for you.

High self-esteem is created by a deep inner knowing that if you have a passion and a dream to make something real, the Universe delivered that dream to you because it knows you are capable of bringing it to life.

You know you will never be given anything you can't handle and that everything you need to succeed is at your disposal. It's up to you to make yourself aware of what you need and look at the world through confident eyes so you can see it.

Often the biggest contributor to business failure is what goes on in the dark, quiet shadows of the mind, yet this is where many entrepreneurs give the least amount of attention.

Personal growth plays a vital role in true business success because it isn't just about the money. It's about loving what you do, maintaining strong, satisfying relationships and enjoying good health at the same time.

If you're in the process of building a home-based business, create some quality time for yourself to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and ask for honest input from others you trust. Identify areas you feel may get in the way of you taking certain actions and making certain decisions.

Embrace the mindset that you are capable of creating anything you want in your life and seek out mentors and a circle of support that will help you make it happen.
