I Am Confused

Are you confused? Is your home business overwhelming you? Not sure in what order to do things? At times it can be daunting, but if you make small changes to your daily plan, it will clarify itself and become a bit easier. It is almost a given that most marketers or home business owners jump in the water without any idea of where they are swimming to. Find your lighthouse or beacon first before you swim out to sea.

Make a list of what you plan to do today. Not for tomorrow. Today first. Write down what you want to get done. Do not try to go off of memory, because you will forget at least half of what your plan for today is. Train and prepare yourself to take on multiple tasks at once. An example of this would be checking your emails while checking your site visits, blog posts, etc. Multi-tasking will help ease the frustration of not being able to get your plan for the day accomplished.

That is the beauty with home business. There is always, always something to do. If you go at on the fly, you will miss so much and the structure of the foundation you are laying will not be stable. Take the small steps and soon enough the giant leaps will follow.

If you owned a brick and mortar shop, would you sell anything without taking inventory and setting up the shop first? Of course not. You want it to be a smooth running machine before you take off with it. Treat you home business the same way. Write down what you plan to do today. Then, after you have finished today's agenda, write down what you plan to do tomorrow. Have a plan, stick to it, and that will make your confusion disappear.

Discrepancies and variances will arise, but if you have your daily plan, then those bumps in your road to success will be much easier to drive past. It is a great thing to dream and view your goals, but you have to start with now. Now is where the dreams start. Take it slowly, make it more efficient, and strive to make your system of operating better for you.

what about home schooling? what about home schooling? - [quote:2e7w5tgk]In fact, the concept of homework is actually quite useless since in the "real world", we do all of our work in the office. So wouldn't it make more sense to have ONLY in-class assignments? Confused If this happened, there'd be less plagiarism. Moreover, if you encounter a road block at work, you're typically not going to have the time to "take it home" and research the answer or re-submit it if you didn't do well the first time. Home schooling sounds like the closest example to this model... at least in the earlier years of development - not uni levels. I like it....

In the "real world" you have to solve problems on the spot, so shouldn't the classroom environment reflect that?[/quote:30twuzn2] Its been many years since I had a job that didn't involve taking work home. Of course, I could've worked in the office 80 hours a week, but working 50+ and taking some specific work home was easier and allowed me to get work done around the house too. But, this does depend on the amount of work each person has to. I realized quickly when I was managing a doctor's office, working with patients, scheduling, promoting, handling money collection and insurance work - that it saved my sanity to take the insurance work home where I could work on it in peace. In another job, I worked the store alone on my shifts and it was easier to take all ordering resources and information home to get the ordering done in an atmosphere that allowed me to focus on the orders with less interruptions - and since my bonuses were almost totally impacted by proper ordering, it was imperative to get the orders right.
