Selecting an Online Home Biz

When selecting a online home biz you have to use common sense, research, and your conscience. The Internet is lambasted with so many under the table schemes, at times, it seems impossible to find the correct Home Based Biz for yourself. How long has the search gone on to find that money maker home biz that will help realize your life-long dreams?

Or are you in the same boat I was in and have tried a few and found out that they, well...(fill in the blank). It is like any investment of your time, energy, and money. Do you by a car and have no idea who owns the car lot or the type of reputation they have? Online Home Biz should be treated the exact same way. Some may have a test drive which is good and some may offer money back if you are not satisfied. You see my point here?

Do not let people wheel you in with fancy banners and the hype of making 85 trillion dollars in 2 weeks. It does not happen in the home biz Internet market. When you find one that intrigues you, read everything you can about it. Some people like to sell physical products. I prefer not to handle products, so my home biz is totally online.

When you do finally come across a home biz online that knocks your socks off, make sure to read the fine print first. By that I mean, look under the hood, kick the tires, take that ONLINE HOME BIZ FOR A TEST DRIVE! Why start something and then 3-6 months later find out it was a lemon? Be selective and careful! This is your home biz that you want, not working it for someone else. You already do that at your job. Seek it, be stubborn if needed, but find the right home biz opportunity that fits you.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - [quote:31qpen1j]This is just my opinion, but I consider the prospective categories, Online Marketing, Internet Marketing and Online Promotion, as being pretty much one and the same - just different words that different people use.[/quote:31qpen1j] I completely agree! Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned. And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Everyone, 2009 is a new year and I'd like to create a new forum category to jazz things up! In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category. I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above? Thanks
Re: Should Evan add a "Social Media Marketing" category to the f Re: Should Evan add a "Social Media Marketing" category to the f - [quote="BuzzAroundBooks":p78047w2]Just as an update, Evan has extended the poll's expiration date and says he'd like to see at least 25 "yes" votes before implementing the new category. Moreover, it would probably be called "Online Marketing" instead of Social Media Marketing".[/quote:p78047w2] Okay - I have a request -- can the title be changed to "Online Marketing"? The reason I'm asking is because people may not know what social media marketing is , while that would make me vote for it to learn more, but not every thinks like that. Also, online marketing could capture more attention when people spot in on the list. Shri
