The home party plan industry is not a complicated business. There are, however, a lot things that you can do that will advance your likelihood of success. If you are a home party business trainer then use these tips to guide your sales home party marketing organization. If you are a new distributor, then take these to heart because these will go a long way toward getting you closer to achieving your direct selling goals.
Try These Direct Selling Sales Tips
- Go to meetings! Frequently a new sales direct selling distributors in direct selling asks: "Do I have to go to meetings?" The answer to that is no, you do not HAVE to go to to meetings. All the successful sales direct sales reps do go to training so if you want to be a success in your business then you should WANT to go to training events.
- Take Advantage Of Your Upline! As a sales team leader, I found that less than 50% of the new distributors actually took advantage of the education, experience and expertise that I offered them. A sales leader has a lot to offer a new sales consultants and all party plan consultants should utilize the upline leader's willingness to share. If your upline leader is not willing to train you, then go up the line further. In direct sales there is always someone upline who will train, and they have a vested awareness in your achievements.
- Don't Wine and don't Bug People! The one standing in front of you is not going to make or defeat your life. There is an unlimited supply of opportunities out there. New home business reps must understand that NO is OK and it does not mean I hate you. When you take advantage of all the lead sources available, you will never hurt for business. When sales repss persuade or bug people, then no one wants to do business with them.. Learn how to network and share what you have often enough that you find the people who want what you have.
- InvestigateYour Business! Those who research their chosen trade for thirty minutes each day will rise to the top 20% of their trade in only one year. Investigate your Line Of Business and your product line by utilizing all the resources you can find in- and outside of your organization. Sometimes it just takes a different messenger delivering the same message for it to impact your sales level.
- Don't Talk Too Much! Most direct sales home business repss never stop talking about their opportunity, product or services. When you learn to follow the 10 second law, your friends will stay interested in chatting with you. Share for 10 seconds or less and ask a open ended question. Then LISTEN to the reply and share for 10 seconds or less and ask another question. This takes training and the payoff is huge.
- Meet With Like-Minded Professionals: This should be done both within your company and outside your company in the direct sales industry. You are in business for yourself but you do not have to be alone. Networking will bring focus into your business that you will not find sitting in your home office working aloneevery day.
- Treat Your Direct Sales Business Like A Profession! If you had a paid career you would act like a professional, so if you want to have professional results from your direct sales business , then treat it like a profession. Every successful business has certain best-business-practices incorporated into its structure to achieve success. When you use those same systems you too will achieve success.
