Expo Season Is Here!
One of the best ways to keep your business fresh is to attend business fairs and expo. Participation in fairs and expos brings business, shows and potential consultants into your business not currently related to your client base.
Sometimes I hear sales professionals say that they went to a fair and only scheduled one or two shows. Well that is terrific! Those 2 shows will develop into a whole new branch on your business tree. Even if you did not get any business from an event, (which is highly unlikely) the experience of asking and sharing in great numbers is invaluable. Remember that you can always make up in numbers what you lack in skill.
Qualify Your Leads:
Stand in front of your table.
Engage the guests with an opening question: "Have you ever heard of XXX Company?"
When they pause invite them to fill out the prize drawing and talk to them as they do.
Do not bring up having a show or joining your opportunity unless they do or they give a sign that they are interested.
You have 30 seconds to become their friend, people do not invite strangers to their house.
Take notes and when you follow up re-establish your friendship with the notes you made.
Do your follow up within 48 hours
