What a brilliant idea!

This revenue sharing agreement between the affiliate merchant and the affiliate marketer is probably the best way to run a web based business. The affiliate merchant gains the opportunity to expose his product or service to a larger audience, thus growing his revenue, and only has to pay for advertising that results in a sale. Meanwhile, the affiliate marketer gains a percentage of that deal without having to manage the sale afterward.

Selecting the right programs

Your overall success depends on whether or not your selected products and services sell as well as the size of commission you earn with each sale. For this reason you will want to choose the affiliate merchant carefully.

Some folks think they can get away with promoting a product without taking it for a test drive. This is not advisable. Your customer will have questions about the product, meaning you have to be familiar with it, and ready to answer any questions a potential buyer may have. This also allows you to create better marketing campaigns for your selected products.

When choosing a product, look for a program with substantial training aids and sales aids such as graphics, text links and banners that you can use to assist your marketing efforts. In addition to the marketing aids, look for programs that offer commission rates at 50 percent or greater. Consider programs that pay commission on multiple levels-that is programs that allow you to earn a commission on a sale when someone under your affiliate link makes a sale.

Getting paid

Each affiliate program has its own payment method. Majority of merchants use software that tracks the sales of every merchant. You are then paid the commission according to the payment schedule either electronically with programs like PayPal or by checks.

When given the option between checks or an electronic method, choose the electronic option. Many companies deduct a hefty amount to mail the check.

Affiliate marketing saves you time and money, making it a great start up business. If you already have a business you can add affiliate links to your website. Or if you are looking for a way to make money from home affiliate marketing should be at the top of your list, after all the hard bits are already done for you.

The commercial intent is to buy, the online store should probably be second. - Online Tea Store... too many choices without supplementary information. No description of product choice. oz and pricing should be stylized separately from the name of the product. - Online Tea Store.... Visuals is definitely very important in raising commercial intent. Someone who comes to the site through SEO is searching for exotic teas and not particulars. Meaning they're browsing. Text is not enough for a browsing shopper. - World of Tea... the information can be organized a bit better. Again, visuals. Some of this info belongs to online tea store. I'm not too sure on the name. - Tea & Treasure... not sure on this name either... mainly because you have "World of Tea" next to it. Navigation should be transparent in conveying information to the users. Why not call it "Find Us" or "Visit Us"? - Email newseletter.... "occasional updates" containing what exactly? Again, my humble opinion. Hope you find it useful!
Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea - Attn Young Entrepreneurs looking for a Business Idea. This came to me while sitting in Traffic for about 1 hour while looking and laughing at ridiculous bumper stickers. Note: this idea is rough but will help get the idea-momentum going. Idea: Sell advertising on the back of cars in the form of reusable magnetic signs (about the length of 2 or 3 bumper stickers) Most people shouldn't have reservations to participating if they get a cut of the monthly fee you charge the company advertising and it doesn't hurt their car. An example of a Magnetic Ad: Geico: I saved 15% on my Car Insurance. Call 1-800-U-SAVE-15 You don't have to pay the cost associated with creating the Magnetic Ad because you will advise the company that this belongs to them and you can get them in touch with someone who created reusable magnets. So your basically managing two sides: 1. Company's that want to advertise 2. People in your neighborhood (to start) who will put the ads on their car. Bigger cars can have more than one ad.
