The Rich Jerk is revered by many as a marketing genius. Now, whether the techniques he describes in his book are credible is something you'll have to find out for yourself. What makes him a fascinating icon on the internet is the fact that he has goes against everyone and does things his way. He is not after popular approval and this in fact is what makes him so popular.

The Rich Jerk marketing involves gloating about himself from the moment he stepped onto the industry. For some time he kept a low profile and perfected his marketing technique. He waited till he had all the elements in place before he made his launch.

Another crafty method The Rich Jerk used was to create a buzz around his product from the moment it came out. He did this by using a number of super-affiliates to promote his product for him. Word of mouth spread over the internet at faster rate then he could ever manage to do on his own. And he knows this.

He also knows the golden rule of marketing; people don't buy products, the buy the benefits of owning them. He displayed his earnings as well a pictures of the millionaire life to get the visitor thinking, "That could be me."

For those who are not taking in by a few pretty pictures of race cars and exotic vacations, The Rich Jerk marketing lured them in by laying out about 20 specific ways he makes money and how he promises to deliver the keys to them all. All the logical thinkers out there were thinking, "I'm sure I can learn that."

But you may be thinking isn't that most marketers do? Well for starters, The Rich Jerk paved the road to effective marketing taking into consideration all the elements that make people buy. As well, most marketers don't say, "I'm better than you" and belittle their prospects. They generally aim to earn your respect and try to befriend you. Well, The Rich Jerk doesn't want to be your friend.

Most people will admit to thinking that The Rich Jerk marketing is obnoxious and a number of people are offended by the remarks he makes on his site. But regardless of whether or not you like him or his products, it can't be denied that The Rich Jerk is a marketing genius.
