What is Your Value?

Our society wages value in terms of numbers. This is especially evident in the workplace. You get up, go to work, labor away at your tasks for eight hours and at the end of year receive a wage perhaps $30,000. This is your worth, what is your value. Who determines your worth? Well, you are told that there are a lot of factors that go into deciding your value: your education, the type of job you do, how hard you work, how much you contribute to the company and so on. But in actuality it's a person or a group of people who want to make sure that you are paid the absolute minimum of what you are worth. Therefore, your worth is the lowest possible numerical value that your boss can get away with offering you.

But you know that you are more than just a wage. You know that the person who gets paid 200,000 a year isn't any better at you; you know that the number of hours you work and the wage you earn is not a fair correlation. But up until now you've haven't been able to change this.

Millions of people were in your shoes until they decided to start valuing themselves. In life you have to ask for more to be given more. You may be thinking "I did!" Perhaps you asked for a raise or worked harder, but chances are you still felt under valued.

The internet however, gives us a chance to tell our bosses to stuff his numerical value of us. There countless people who have created their own wealth working for themselves online.

Anyone with determination and drive can start a home business. You can work from anywhere in the world at nearly any location. If you can get to a computer you can be making money. You never have to leave your home to create an income; you make money 24 hours a day because your business is always open but the best part you is will have anyone tell you what you are worth because you determine how much you earn.

Online business opportunities come in all shapes and sizes. There are work at home agents who work as virtual assistants. They took their day jobs and turned it into a business that they can run from the comfort of their own home. There are merchants who created a product and sell it from a website, and then there are affiliates who help the merchant sell his product for a commission.

Regardless of the type of business you are in, one thing is certain, you will need to market. Though the number of successful marketers online is few there are many advisors to help you find the best methods for you to start and grow your business. What's more you can do all his part-time.

If you only want to spend a few hours a week working from home no one is going say otherwise. There is no employer telling you that the number of hours you work is a translated into an hourly worth. As well many programs online are automated, so you can be making more money away from computer than you are making at your job.

Am I saying that everyone should leave their jobs and work from home? No, all I'm saying is that days of being given a predetermined value by someone else are over. What is your value?
