If you are in desperate need of building your work at home internet business, but do not want to spend big dollars or hours to get the job done, article marketing might be the perfect solution for you.

Here are 10 tips for you to make article marketing as effective as possible.

1. Think in terms of quantity of articles. The main point in successful article marketing is to get as many articles out in the marketplace as possible.

2. Do not spend a lot of time on any particular article. One mistake that people make is they try to craft the perfect article. The time that you spend writing the perfect article can be used to write more articles.

3. Submit your articles to the top article directories only. For example the Ezinearticles.com is the top article directory in the world. They require that articles are 250 words or more. One strategy would be to write short 250 word articles and to submit to this article directory only. You could jump start your home internet business by submitting just to top rated directories.

4. Make sure that you submit your articles to the right categories. For example, if there is a work at home category flood it with as many articles as possible. After that you can put more articles to the internet business category. The key is that you began to develop a reputation because your name is coming up consistently under these categories.

5. Write a catchy title that makes a person want to read your article. This would seem to be common sense yet it is amazing how many mundane titles you see for an article. If you are unsure how to write a catchy title just go to your favorite article directory and read articles until you see some that catch your eye.

6. Create a swipe file for ideas. There are numerous amounts of well written articles on the internet which you can use as a resource for your articles. Just bookmark those and put them in your swipe file when you need them in the future.

7. Write as many numbered list articles as possible. These are very easy to read because the reader can scan from one number to the next. Plus numbered list articles are easy to write because it helps you keep focused on exactly the point you are trying to get across.

8. Keep your paragraphs short. It is better to include no more than three or four sentences for each paragraph. Using this strategy you will keep your reader with you longer and help them avoid skimming ahead to the next paragraph.

9. Craft a resource box that tells the reader exactly what you want them to do. You will find that shorter resource boxes do better than long ones do. You will want to hyperlink your keyword phrase such as home internet business directly to either a landing page or your homepage.

10. Keep in mind that the number one goal of article marketing is to get traffic to a specific web page that you are promoting. Therefore you do not have to write the perfect article, but you do want to use mass distribution to generate as much traffic as you possibly can.

In summary, this is 10 ideas that can help you jump start your work at home internet business with article marketing. Keep in mind that backlinks from articles stay on the internet for years to come. Compared to paid advertising, which stops benefiting after you stop payments, this is a huge advantage for your business in the future.
