Home Party Plan Direct Selling Business : 5 Steps To 6 Figures In Home Party Business!

As a home party consultant, I want you to understand the weight and importance of your role in your home party plan business. In a bit I will share some home party tips, which if acted upon and implemented will show you how to boost sales at home parties.

Almost 75% of the mothers in business are involved in home party plan direct selling in one way or another. The sad part is that only about 5% of that percentage actually succeeds in what they do or are actually making their monthly goal that makes them happy.

As a home party marketing expert, I get to talk and work with home party sales representative daily, here are some of the things I hear that are contributing to the dissatisfaction:

*I am not able to sell
*My living room, garage and bedrooms have all turned into a product storage warehouse!
*My husband, my wife has turned to giving me the stink eye as a way of communicating
with me!
*My spouse is threatening to cut me off financially if I don't turn a profit ASAP!
*My friends and family avoid me and are tired of my schemes!
*My upline keeps calling asking me to take one for the team and double my product
volume!
*I am tired of buying leads, using the 3-foot rule and talking to dead beat leads!
*My no-show rate is so high. No one attends my home parties.
*The trainings are repetitive, useless rah rah rah!
*I have spent 1000's of $$$ and in 5,6,7 months haven't enrolled anyone!

I looked around the internet of course; for blogs related to home party plans, they were just ok, the usual hotel mtg. mentality translated on to a blog, not good enough I thought! And hence Party Plan Pat came to life!

So, you've joined a home based party plan business, that markets products through a home parties. CONGRATULATIONS! This can be a very lucrative and rewarding way to make money. You're eager to bring others on board to host home parties for you. How do you go about promoting a home party business?

#1. I highly recommend a list of your CLOSEST family and friends. Oh great here she goes telling me to make a list of 200! Great some help you turned out to be. Hold your horses. It is not for the reason you think.

Practice we are told makes perfect. Hogwash! PRACTICE MAKES IMPROVEMENT. The notion that you are going to build home party plan business solely on home party sales made by friends and family is well just a little out of this world. How many of us really know 200 people, like really? I have lived in my new neighborhood for 6 months and I don't even know my neighbor and now you want me to come up with 199 more?

Friends and family because they love you make great testing ground and if they end up contributing to your home party plans sales quota, YAY! It is best that you host a few home parties yourself to gain the confidence to acquire other home party recruits. Fact of life: Only when you have walked a mile in another’s' shoes are you best able to help them achieve their goals. You not only understand the process of approach & involvement, but you also know the most effective ways to make home party sales.

That is what I call leadership!

Once you've hosted a few home parties for families and friends, and they have torn you down and built you back up again (I mean what were you expecting), you have created a loyal home party plan products sales base (you must have a central volume base that you continue to add on to).

The 95% home party plan failure rate is directly related to the fact that most people just cannot see themselves doing what you do. If you can make it so that other people see just how doable it is and how much fun you are having and the true team spirit that exists, you are in!

Now that you know what works and what doesn't, you will come up with a plan to promote your home party business.

Many people out there who are looking for ways to earn extra money and your home party plan business might be just what they're looking for. How can you reach your prospective home party recruits? Here are some more ideas:

2. Use your home party company products. It goes without saying you would think. The reason you do this so you can become acquainted with the products on a personal level. The thing I find most memorable about home parties is the home party consultants genuineness and honesty. If do not like a product, tell me and share your experience. If you like it, let me know. I can make up my own mind. Familiarity with products allows you to resolve the problems other people have, as they come up during a conversation. Say I have a child with eczema and I have tried everything and nothing works. Now if you have a product that will help, how likely am I to buy if you send me a sample in the mail with a note card in a few days? See where I am going with this?

3. Familiarity with your home party plan products allows you to become a walking advertisement for your home party business (without being the obnoxious peppy cheer leader home party sales representative, you know the one I am talking about; with the eternal smile plastered on their face and always over-joyed about the latest product that their party plan company just unveiled?) Arrrgh, stop already! And ditch the buttons and badges, you know ones I am talking about "Need money? Ask me how to get it while having a blast!" or "I can help you make extra money. Ask me how!".

4. Market yourself. This is the best way to gain home party recruits. Promote yourself FIRST. YOU! Not your party plan company, you! Get into the habit of answering the question why should you do business with me? Also understand your potential home party recruits reasons for doing or not doing business with you! A home party plan business is not about the home party company. A home party business is about you, the home party consultant. Do you have a personal website (no a company website does not count, unless you can show me how it sets you apart from the other 50,000 home party consultants in your company)!

5. Follow up and follow through with your home party prospects!

Make a commitment to call a specified number of potential recruits each week. As a home party consultant, I recommend 10 calls a day. I am emphasizing quality rather than quantity. Learn to hone in on your prospects needs and you do not ever have to do any selling! Use postcards and e-mail marketing to let people on your list about promotions, discounts, new products and up coming home parties.

b). Make sure products are delivered in a timely manner. Find out what products are a hit and what products are not.
c). Get testimonials. If there is one thing I will emphasize is the fact that women shop by soliciting the opinion of other women. So following up and following through is another way to market yourself by getting testimonials that you will put on your personal website. See how things come full circle?

6. Don't forget about business cards! Always have a stack of business cards with you and give them out freely. They're a very inexpensive and effective form of marketing. Make sure you have a phone number and a website (one that is easy to remember)!

Now you know the secrets of promoting a home party plan business! Get motivated and give them a try and you'll see rewards sooner than you think.
