This is no longer your mothers home party! Generating income through home party sales is a trend I'm seeing every where these days in retail. First, it was Tupperware. Then Mary Kay jumped on board. Then began the mushrooming of party plan companies e.g., Pampered Chef and Jewelry Home Party Companies and adult toy home party companies! Not to mention home purse party companies! The sky it seems is the limit. Now also you have home party wine companies that are taking up this business model.

Now here is what you need to know as a home party consultant, Warren Buffet, the richest man in the world owns three home party companies. The most notable being Pampered Chef. He is quoted as saying that it was the best decision he has ever made.

Home Party Plans, Direct sales and direct selling business are booming. This is no longer your common Tupperware party. 1. Jewelry Home Parties: People always want to decked out and look good. E.g., Spilada, Lia Sophia, Cookie Lee. The other notable trend is the rise of gold and silver home parties. It is simply the exchange of precious metals for cash…
2. Adult Home Party/Home Sex Toy Parties: We are a nation obsessed with sex. And at the end of the day whether it is hot or cold. Depression or economic boom. Young or old, gay, straight, lesbian or bi-curious, sex never goes out of fashion. And anyway it is about time women had a response to Viagra E.g., passion parties, romance parties, lingerie parties.
3. Home Wine Parties: A total trend. What better thing to do than gather with friends over a glass of wine? Getting paid for drinking said glass of wine! E.g., Traveling Vineyard, Wine Shop At Home
4. Skin Care: party plan companies such as Mary Kay & Arbonne International. There is a strange phenomenon called the lipstick economy. When the markets go down, the sale of lipstick and skin care goes up! Told you, you can never be too beautiful!
5. At Home Wrap Parties: The new trend in weight loss is wraps. Wraps are mineral substances designed to draw out impurities while whittling the waist. It is an awesome experience and now you can do them at home with your friends. You just can’t have wine that will defeat the purpose!
6. Home Purse Party: Like I said you can never be too glamorous. Perhaps many are not willing to buy a $15,000 Prada handbag, but we all know someone who will pay $150 for a knock-off. So why not let them pay you? E.g., Dive Purse Party
7. Food: Need I say more? As we have less time to cook, food in home show party continue to draw crowds for the convenience and ease they offer.
8. Pets: Yes selling pet products through home parties is only building momentum. I don’t get it cause I am not a pet person. Well I like Cats and only Russian Blues. Shure Pets combines home parties with pet products. The dynamics of the pet industry set it apart from other industries and make it ideal for the direct selling/ home party model. People have emotional connections with their pets. And home party sales are a high-touch, relationship business.
