Search for people on the Internet : The Internet is a huge place and there are bound to be others like you. So you may want to make a search and find out those like you who are in the same business. Collect their email address and phone number and create your own database. Now you will need to call them up or send them an email expressing your desire to form a mastermind group. You may also add the contact details of your business competitors. But do understand that not everyone will agree to become a member but once you have a few members, you should ask them to invite others as well. The mastermind group that you have created can now communicate with each other. And if it really blooms, you may even meet once or twice a year when members from across the country can actually physically meet and get to know each other better.
Look at forums and online groups : There are many forums and online groups on the Internet where you are sure to find others like you who are in the same business. Interact with them and try to understand how much they are knowledgeable and also whether they would be willing to share knowledge in a mastermind group. If they are, then you can add them to your mastermind group. Yes, forums and online groups can be a useful source too.
Facebook, Orkut etc : These are community based websites that have become very popular in recent years. There are many communities in such websites in fact, there is a community for perhaps everything. Become a member of the communities that relate to your business as you are sure to meet hundreds other just like you there. Now you must get to know the members better, at least a few of them. Many of these members will open to help you and receive help in return by forming a mastermind group with you.
A mastermind group can truly be extremely beneficial and the above mentioned ways can be useful to find the members who can be a part of such a group.
