Home Business Expert: Importance Of Consistency & Persistence

If you are planning to switch over to a home business, firstly let me congratulate you. Yes there are sure to be a few scares (believe me, this happens to all), but once you start off and get to do it for some time, you will surely discover that a home business can generate a lot of wealth for you. Plus there are other incentives of course like you are your own boss and you can work from the comforts of your home. But as a home business entrepreneur you will soon discover that much like your traditional job, not all days can be the same. There are sure to be many ups and downs, and you will learn to live with the swings.

To truly enjoy your work at home business, you need to make it successful of course and there are many factors that will determine whether your enterprise would be a success or not. Some of the most important of these factors include consistency and persistence. Yes there is a lot of similarity between these two factors, but not entirely. Let us investigate further.

As mentioned above, be it in your traditional job or in your home business, everyday will not be the same. But you will find that those who are successful are those who stuck to their job, no matter what. Being successful is not that much about brilliance, it has got probably more to do about having the ability to keep working day in and day out with a definite target in mind and having a precise plan. Did you know that Mt. Everest is not the most difficult mountain to climb, technically at least, it is just the huge distance and the great heights that make it such a great issue. And those who stick around are on top of the world'. In other words, those with survival instincts and those who live to see another day are the most successful climbers.

The same is the case in business. You need a plan and a long term focus yes, but your immediate concern should be to keep doing your job day in and day out, and you will see that one milestone after another will be accomplished. And finally you will be able to reach your goal.

That is what consistency and persistence can help you achieve.

Re: Service Or Product? Re: Service Or Product? - I agree with starting a Service-based Business in the economy. Here is what I think is critical: 1. Researching that your Service business has a market. 2. Marketing the Service with as much leverage as possible. 3. Product-izing the Service (aka Package Expert Knowledge). This will only help elevate you as "the" expert in your niche and make you accessible to people in different price points.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need.
