Home Business Expert: Passion: Find A Product You Can Believe In

Passion is very important not only in life, but also in your business. That is because when you are passionate about what you are doing, you will for sure put in a lot of hard work and will have the persistence to become successful. Donald Trump the famous business magnate, successful author, television personality and socialite once said "Don't waste your life on work you don't love; Passion will help you succeed." And his own life is an example of what can happen when you love what you are doing and have the passion to do it.

But to be passionate about what you are doing, you have to love your job. However sadly, there are many people who do not seem to be enjoying they are in the wrong job or they do not have the right product or the service. And this is one major reason why they fail.

So when you are starting your own business, it is important that you find a product that you believe in. Yes you must have the confidence that the product will offer good value to the customer for the money the person is spending, because otherwise your lack of passion will show and eventually you might fail. For example, if you often have to converse with your prospects while making a sale or even correspond through email, you need to be sure that the product you are selling because this will keep you charged up and excited. If you believe in something, it shows in your activities. On the other hand, if you are yourself not convinced, then how will you be able to convince the prospect to buy it?

So it is important that you should find a product that you can yourself believe in. Why dont you first yourself use it for a few days? This will obviously help you understand the product better and help you in talking from your own personal experience when you are corresponding with your prospects. This is sure to be of immense help. When selecting a product that you should yourself use, check out the testimonials you may also find out about it from your friends, neighbors and relatives who have used it and you should ask them about their experience.

If the first product does not make you happy, just scrap it from your list and move on to the next one. But never compromise on your passion.

Re: Service Or Product? Re: Service Or Product? - I agree with starting a Service-based Business in the economy. Here is what I think is critical: 1. Researching that your Service business has a market. 2. Marketing the Service with as much leverage as possible. 3. Product-izing the Service (aka Package Expert Knowledge). This will only help elevate you as "the" expert in your niche and make you accessible to people in different price points.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need.
