Business Opportunity Dreams Big and Aims Higher
A business opportunity starts as a dream but it is not a guarantee of success. In order to bring the dream into reality entrepreneurs must aim higher and beyond the dream to formulate the goal that is to be attained in their business opportunity.
The Internet definitely creates big dreams for would be online marketers. Years of Internet hype, glitter and glamor specifically designed to promote the possibility of big riches without any effort. The downside is the gravy train derails fairly quickly.
Get rich schemes just do not work. Forget the get rich quick schemes; run far and fast from any business that doesn't require any effort on your part. Working online is not any different than a traditional business. It takes time, commitment and consistency to build a successful business. Do not waste your time and money on get rich quick promises that will not materialize.
Aim higher! If you want to be successful marketing online you have to move past the dream. There are a multitude of opportunities that can be successful online if you are willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work required. Your main focus is to find customers to create a long term residual income.
You may be asking yourself why you should create residual income. The answer is that you maximize your efforts by the work you do today which pays forward into the future. When you find customers and develop them into long term loyal customers who purchase your product or service month after month you have created residual income. The hard work, finding customers, is done first and then you reap the profits month after month for as long as they continue to purchase from you.
Customer loyalty is built by offering quality products and exceptional customer service. When you stop to think about the power and long term potential for residual income, it makes sense to put some thought into what type of business and product you want to be affiliated with. If you are really serious about making money online you will spend some time researching so that you can choose the best long term business opportunity.

- this is a fascinating book about the history of Business theory, and I'd recommend it to anybody.
2. The Big Book of Small Business: You Don't Have to Run Your Business by the Seat of Your Pants, by Tom Gegax. Ditto.
3. PADI: The Business of Diving Book
Okay, so this book won't be of use to anyone who doesn't want to start a scuba store, but I did, and this book was of course invaluable to me in reaching that goal.
Franchising & Licensing Can Be The Same Thing
- FTC Rule 436 defines franchising as anyone offering an Agreement that contains these 3 things:
1. Licensing a "Mark" - which can be a trade name, service mark, commercial symbol, slogan, etc.
2. In the body of the Agreement, there contains, significant controls and assistance.
3. The licensee is paying the licensor in excess of $500 within the first six months of the actual offering of the business.
Licensing and Franchising can mean the same thing today. If you do not decide to franchise and comply with FTC Rule 436, you may be in violation of Business Opportunity Laws that exist in 24 individual States.
Franchising 'where to advertise?'
- Great Forum. It took me a while to find you, but well worth the efforts...
I'm launching a Business Opportunity and I have a few questions that I'm pondering. Mainly where to advertise and what online directories to target.
directoryfranchise.com looks good, but I have no idea if they're worth the cost. They want 99.00-199.00 to list my site at up to 40 different listing sites.
franchisegator.com and franchiseopportunities.com look solid... any suggestions?
I'm currently devoting a significant amount of my time writing articles and plan to submit to the article directories. I'm already seeing good results from the few articles that I have released.
My site is up and I have most of the puzzle pieces in place. Any comments on the site, and suggestions are welcomed.
