Having an email mailing list is essential if you're an internet marketer or online business owner. The benefits can have a huge impact on your sales and brand. The problem that most face, and a question that gets asked often, are ways in which you can build your email mailing list. There are many different approaches in which you can take to achieve this. I'm going to focus on three specific techniques I use to build up my list of subscribers and how you can do the same. All of them are free, but each requires different amounts of time that you'll need to spend on them.

The easiest method is using a simple lead capture form on your website. If you don't have a website, then the other two methods I'll discuss will work for you. With this method, it's as simple as copy and pasting some code from your autoresponder and placing it on your website. The key here is to place the form above the fold, meaning that when someone visits your site, they'll see the form right away without scrolling down the page. To make the form appealing to visitors, you're going to want to offer something of value for free to get people to sign up to your email mailing list.

The second approach you can take is a little more time consuming, but works just as well. This method involves the use of Traffic Exchanges. If you're not familiar with Traffic Exchanges, they're simply a website where you become a member for free and surf (visit) other members' websites while building up credits. The credits you build up are used towards your own websites being shown to other members.

The idea with Traffic Exchanges is to build your email mailing list. Now, many people don't do this and advertise a business opportunity or whatever else they may be promoting. That's not very affective in my opinion and doesn't utilize the amount of credits you build up correctly. You want to stand out from the crowd by creating a simple squeeze page, also known as a landing page, that grabs the surfer's attention very quickly. The amount of time required to stay on a particular page before moving to the next varies, but the minimum for some is only seven seconds. That's how long you have to get their attention.

Your squeeze page needs to be simple and to the point. The headline should grab their attention instantly. Insert a sub heading that fortifies what the headline states and then have your opt-in form right there for them to enter their name and email and be signed on to your email mailing list. This how to use Traffic Exchanges affectively, and once you get people on your email mailing list, then you can promote your products and opportunities to them. It will be much easier to do so as they're already interested in what you have to offer.

The third method involves creating a short ebook that you'll add to JV Giveaway events. Don't worry; this really doesn't take as much time as you may think. The process is pretty simple actually. All you have to do is get some PLR content and repackage the contents into an ebook. It doesn't have to be complex by any means, but make it as appealing as you can. There's plenty of free Word to PDF converters out there that should make this process easy for you. There are also many free graphics tools available to make a nice cover graphic for your ebook.

If you're not familiar with JV Giveaways, they're simply a giveaway event where many big name marketers offer free downloads of their products. They also invite others to contribute to the event by offering a product of their own. All you do is enter your ebook into the event, and when someone is interested in your ebook, they'll have to join your email mailing list in order to download the ebook. It's simple and works. I've generated over 100 subscribers in just a few days with this method.

Those are three methods you can start using today to explode your email mailing list. Use one, two, or all three strategies. You have nothing to lose as they're all free, and you'll see your email mailing list continue to grow with targeted subscribers that you can market again and again to.

Re: Great start, but no finish - My advise is FOCUS on your business. Focusing is the main factor to succeed on business. If you have a great idea, then follow it only, don't look anywhere else. It is especially essential in an online business. Because there are a lot of mind blowing sales letters promising millions dolllars or overnight success, people find it difficult to concentrate on one business and they lose their energy. Concept is simple. 1- Have a good idea; 2- Build your business on it; 3- Monetize your business; 4- Promote it; 5- Build list of responsive customers; 6- Maintain You Business. What am I subscribing to? What's the value? - Ad placement of the Amazon widget is questionable. Why the repeat and why the vertical misalignment? - Too much padding on both sides too little room in the middle for crucial information. - Essays on the navigation bar should probably be second from the left. Just my humble opinion. I think the information organization and presentation can be done a bit better.
