You need consistent and on-going income that you can count on month after month. For this reason, a residual income affiliate program provides a great avenue to get into because you can generate residual income that you can count on when you need it.

Residual Income Affiliate Programs are the Ideal Work at Home Job

When you make the decision to work at home, it's a big one. It's not something you should take lightly. It's a big step to take, and one that requires a bit of planning beforehand. The main thing you need to keep in mind is that just like a regular job, a work at home job requires just as much, if not more, time and energy.

An important factor that many people look over is the fact that just like a regular job provides a week to week paycheck, you want a work at home job that's going to provide residual income. A residual income affiliate program is your best bet. This will provide you with a paycheck month after month. The best part about a residual income affiliate program is that you can get paid over and over as I mentioned, but for the same amount of work.

Here's what I mean. You work hard and build your work at home business, putting in a lot of time and energy. Eventually your work starts to pay off, and you start seeing results. That work you did at the beginning is still producing results for you and will continue to do so. This is the most ideal type of work at home job that you can have.

The reason for this is simple. Why work hard to only get paid one time? I would rather get paid every month for my efforts, instead of just a one time payment. I don't know of any "regular" job that can provide that type of residual income.

Now that you understand the importance of finding a residual income affiliate program, the next step is to actually find one. Makes perfect sense, right? This can tend to be somewhat challenging, however.

There are so many residual income affiliate programs available for someone looking to work at home that there's just too many to really go through. There are plenty of options and choices which is great, but it can be almost overwhelming and quite confusing.

I've seen some really good programs out there, but I've also seen a lot of crap. I know that's being blunt, but it's true and something anyone thinking about working at home needs to be aware of. Just be sure to do a little research first.

Remember, if you already made the decision to work at home, or are seriously considering it, you want a residual income affiliate program that will provide monthly income for you and your family.

Re: What are your success criteria? Re: What are your success criteria? - [quote="DwayneGarrett":1igrdgib]Out of curiousity, what has to be present for you to know that your business is a success? The top three things for me are: 1. Maintaining a 6 figure income year in and year out. 2. Creating and promoting my own products. 3. Income not solely dependent upon my personal effort. How about yours?[/quote:1igrdgib] I would have to say mine were: 1. Monthly Residual Income that exceeds all expenses by 110% 2. Free time to create and promote my own products (relies on #1) 3. 5% of all revenues generated by my team going to feed starving kids Now that is "feel good work".

Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - Carol, Mary and David - thanks for your great input and insight on Affiliate Marketing! This is the kind of discussion I was hoping for in this thread. There are pros and cons to Affiliate Marketing, just as there are to any business. As has been suggested, he best policy is to proceed with caution and do some research before jumping in. As Carol has recommended, this topic thread in the EvanCarmichael.com forum is the ideal place to ask questions and seek further input on available Affiliate Marketing programs. If a person is serious about building an online business and is interested in Affiliate Marketing plans, they should approach the process as they would any other form of business. Research, ask questions, compare opportunities, participate in forums on online business and Affiliate Marketing. GT :-]

Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - You made some very good points here Jeff and I agree with you, Affiliate Marketing should not be something that you concentrate all your efforts into. As i said earlier I have learned a lot with Affiliate Marketing and continue to do so, and it has helped me tremendously to understand what I am going to have to do in my chosen niche(s). I am also being coached by the same group of mentors as GT and we are all moving forward daily to achieve our ultimate goals. Take care, Carol
